【摘要】： 文化空缺是一種語(yǔ)言文化異質(zhì)性的極致體現(xiàn)。如何處理翻譯中的文化空缺實(shí)現(xiàn)文本的連貫重構(gòu)對(duì)譯者來(lái)說(shuō)一直是一個(gè)巨大的挑戰(zhàn)。近年來(lái),許多相關(guān)論文對(duì)該問(wèn)題進(jìn)行了探討,但大都只注重實(shí)例分析,很少?gòu)睦碚摲矫孢M(jìn)行論證。本文的新穎之處在于從文化圖式理論的角度探討文化空缺的可譯性及其翻譯技巧。 全文共分五章,各章主要內(nèi)容如下: 第一章是引言,論述了語(yǔ)言、文化與翻譯的關(guān)系并簡(jiǎn)要介紹了本文的主要內(nèi)容。 第二章闡述了圖式理論特別是文化圖式理論的概念、特點(diǎn)、實(shí)質(zhì)和類別。 第三章揭示了文化以及文化空缺的概念,產(chǎn)生文化空缺的根源,并對(duì)文化空缺因素進(jìn)行了分類。 第四章從文化圖式的角度論證了文化空缺的可譯性。通過(guò)分析文化空缺與文化圖式的關(guān)系,指出在目的語(yǔ)讀者的理解中出現(xiàn)文化空缺的原因是因?yàn)樗麄兡X海中缺乏相應(yīng)的文化圖式。如果在翻譯過(guò)程中能夠?qū)⒃凑Z(yǔ)文化中的相應(yīng)的文化圖式轉(zhuǎn)換到目的語(yǔ)之中,就為文化空缺的翻譯提供了堅(jiān)實(shí)的基礎(chǔ)。由于人類發(fā)展具有共同的文化氛圍,人類擁有相同的思維能力,相近的反應(yīng)能力,作為思維的產(chǎn)物,文化的產(chǎn)物,不同文化中的文化圖式是可以轉(zhuǎn)換的。在這個(gè)條件下,文化空缺作為某一種語(yǔ)言文化事實(shí),由于語(yǔ)言的普遍性,社會(huì)的共通性,也是可譯的。當(dāng)然其可譯性是相對(duì)的,在翻譯過(guò)程中會(huì)有不可避免的文化損失。 第五章論證了文化圖式理論在翻譯文化空缺的過(guò)程中所發(fā)揮的作用,并指出文化空缺的翻譯的成功與否應(yīng)看相應(yīng)的文化圖式在多大程度上被忠實(shí)地傳遞了。在已有討論的基礎(chǔ)上,針對(duì)文化空缺提出了六種具體的翻譯手段,包括音譯,直譯或音譯加注,直譯或音譯加解釋,補(bǔ)償,借用及意譯。以上這些翻譯手段均從文化圖式的角度著眼,以期最大限度的傳遞相應(yīng)的文化圖式,達(dá)到最佳翻譯效果。通過(guò)相關(guān)理論介紹和實(shí)例分析,本文從文化圖式的角度探析了文化空缺的可譯性及常用翻譯技巧。把文化圖式理論引入翻譯領(lǐng)域,希望為解決翻譯中由文化空缺所帶來(lái)的問(wèn)題提供一個(gè)可供繼續(xù)研究的角度。
