基于功能語法的對中美英文報(bào)紙關(guān)于黃巖島事件報(bào)道的批評性話語分析

【摘要】:21世紀(jì)被稱為信息時代或電腦時代,新聞在當(dāng)今社會的各個領(lǐng)域如政治、經(jīng)濟(jì)、科技等都起著非常重要的作用。新聞具有真實(shí)性、時效性、階級性等特點(diǎn)。如黃巖島事件剛剛發(fā)生的時候,,全世界人們都很快地通過新聞媒體了解到這件事情。由于新聞的真實(shí)性,人們普遍認(rèn)為新聞是真實(shí)可信的,不摻雜任何個人觀點(diǎn)。但是由于文化差異、政治利益、黨派紛爭等因素,絕對客觀的新聞是不存在的。 當(dāng)今社會,一個國家所發(fā)行的新聞絕不僅僅局限于本國語言,取而代之,用外語所寫的新聞,尤其是英語新聞,正在全世界發(fā)行。在中國,《中國日報(bào)》在各大外語報(bào)紙中占著舉足輕重的作用,具有一定的代表性。同時,就英語報(bào)紙而言,美國媒體對其它國家形象的塑造有著巨大影響,報(bào)紙類以《華盛頓郵報(bào)》和《紐約時報(bào)》為首。因此,作者旨在通過對于中美英文報(bào)紙對黃巖島時間的報(bào)道來窺探新聞背后的意識形態(tài)。 本文分五部分。第一部分主要介紹研究背景,新聞的特點(diǎn)以及本文研究的目的和意義。第二部分主要回顧新聞?wù)Z篇,以及批評話語分析的國內(nèi)外研究現(xiàn)狀。第三部分主要介紹本文的研究方法和理論框架。本文采用韓禮德的系統(tǒng)功能語法作為主要的研究方法,費(fèi)爾勞克的批評性話語分析作為主要的理論框架,并探討二者之間的關(guān)系。第四部分為定性與定量分析的具體研究與實(shí)踐。第五部分為結(jié)論,本文的研究局限性以及對未來研究的建議。 本文通過對比中美英文報(bào)紙對黃巖島事件的報(bào)道在及物性和情態(tài)方面的相同點(diǎn)和不同點(diǎn)來揭露新聞背后的意識形態(tài)及政治斗爭,并提出了培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的批評語言意識和批評閱讀能力的建議。傳統(tǒng)的新聞英語教學(xué)著重對新聞詞匯、語法、句法等層面的語言特色的講解,忽視對新聞背后的社會以及意識形態(tài)等因素的考察。本文指出將新聞?wù)Z篇的語言特征與話語實(shí)踐和社會實(shí)踐相結(jié)合,揭示新聞?wù)Z言背后隱藏的意識傾向。新聞教學(xué)應(yīng)注重培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的批評語言意識,避免學(xué)生被看似客觀中立的新聞?wù)Z言所操縱和誤導(dǎo)。
[Abstract]:The twenty-first Century is called the information age or the computer age. News plays a very important role in every field of today's society, such as politics, economy, science and technology. The news has the characteristics of authenticity, timeliness, class nature and so on. For example, when the Huangyan Island incident just happened, people around the world knew this matter quickly through the news media. In the truth of the news, people generally believe that news is true and believable, without any personal views. But because of cultural differences, political interests, partisan disputes and other factors, absolute and objective news does not exist.
In today's society, the news issued by a country is not only limited to the language of its own country, instead, the news written in foreign languages, especially the English news, is being issued all over the world. In China, China Daily has a decisive role in the major foreign language newspapers and has certain representativeness. At the same time, in the English newspaper, the American media The body has a huge impact on the image of other countries. Newspapers are headed by the Washington Post and New York Times, so the author aims to spy on the ideology behind the news on the time of the Huangyan and English newspapers.
This article is divided into five parts. The first part mainly introduces the research background, the characteristics of the news and the purpose and significance of this study. The second part mainly reviews the news discourse, and the status of the domestic and foreign research on critical discourse analysis. The third part mainly introduces the research methods and theoretical frame of this article. This paper uses Hallidy's systematic functional grammar. As the main research method, Phil Locke's critical discourse analysis is the main theoretical framework, and the relationship between the two is discussed. The fourth part is the specific research and practice of qualitative and quantitative analysis. The fifth part is the conclusion, the limitations of this study and the suggestions for the future research.
This paper reveals the ideological and political struggles behind the news through the comparison of the similarities and differences in transitivity and modality between Chinese and English newspapers and English newspapers in Huangyan, and puts forward some suggestions for cultivating students' critical language awareness and critical reading ability. The explanation of the linguistic features at the syntactic level and the neglect of the social and ideological factors behind the news. This article points out that the linguistic features of the news discourse are combined with the practice of discourse and social practice to reveal the hidden tendency behind the news language. The news teaching should pay attention to the cultivation of students' critical language awareness and avoid learning. Life is manipulated and misled by seemingly neutral news language.
