英漢“手”的隱轉(zhuǎn)喻認(rèn)知解讀

【摘要】:認(rèn)知語言學(xué)認(rèn)為隱喻和轉(zhuǎn)喻是人類兩種基本的認(rèn)知工具,在我們的日常生活中無處不在。隱喻和轉(zhuǎn)喻的工作機(jī)制使得我們能夠通過具體的概念理解抽象概念,從而完成概念化這一認(rèn)知過程。隱喻是基于兩事物相似性的跨域間映射,而轉(zhuǎn)喻涉及的是同一域或矩陣域范圍內(nèi)的映射,以事物間的鄰近性為基礎(chǔ)。盡管隱喻和轉(zhuǎn)喻存在著諸多不同,但兩者往往相互交融,界限模糊。有關(guān)兩者相互作用方面,國外的相關(guān)學(xué)者們提出了幾種互動模式。如:Goossens的“隱轉(zhuǎn)喻”,Barcelona的隱喻的轉(zhuǎn)喻理據(jù),Mendoza的概念相互作用模式以及Geeraerts的棱柱形模式。 經(jīng)驗主義認(rèn)為,人對世界的概念化與識解基于自己的日常經(jīng)驗和周圍環(huán)境。作為人體重要器官,手對人們感知世界提供了獨特的認(rèn)知角度,F(xiàn)有的對于人體詞“手”的研究大多分別來自隱喻和轉(zhuǎn)喻兩個角度,,從兩者交互作用的角度來分析人體詞的研究為之甚少,本文是在隱轉(zhuǎn)喻相互作用理論框架下對人體詞“手”進(jìn)行認(rèn)知分析做的一次初步嘗試。 研究中,我們盡可能收集來源于英國國家語料庫,北京大學(xué)中國語言研究數(shù)據(jù)庫以及一些常用的詞典中的有關(guān)英漢語“手”的語言表達(dá);谡J(rèn)知語言學(xué)的理論和收集到的數(shù)據(jù),我們對英漢語中“手”的表達(dá)方式的隱喻和轉(zhuǎn)喻做出詳盡而系統(tǒng)的分析。然后,對英漢“手”詞語所呈現(xiàn)的隱喻和轉(zhuǎn)喻的異同做了對比研究,以期能找出異同現(xiàn)象背后的深層原因。對于Goossens的“隱轉(zhuǎn)喻”和Mendoza的概念相互作用模式,本文特別結(jié)合了“手”的隱轉(zhuǎn)喻現(xiàn)象的具體實例,盡管研究中不可避免地有著其很大的局限性,作者希望本研究能夠拋磚引玉,為未來這一領(lǐng)域研究提供新的視角。 本文研究成果大致如下:(1)無論是英語還是漢語,手的隱喻,轉(zhuǎn)喻,隱轉(zhuǎn)喻現(xiàn)象廣泛存在于我們的日常用語當(dāng)中。(2)兩種語言中的手的隱喻和轉(zhuǎn)喻的相似性大于其差異性。相似性源于人類認(rèn)知的共性,而差異性植根于各國特有的文化模式。(3)轉(zhuǎn)喻在兩者的相互作用中起著至關(guān)重要的作用,它是塑造我們的思維模式和概念化過程中是一種較隱喻更為基礎(chǔ)的認(rèn)知工具。
[Abstract]:Cognitive linguistics holds that metaphor and metonymy are two basic cognitive tools, which are ubiquitous in our daily life.The working mechanism of metaphor and metonymy enables us to understand abstract concepts through concrete concepts and thus complete the cognitive process of conceptualization.Metaphor is a cross-domain mapping based on the similarity of two things, while metonymy refers to the mapping within the same domain or matrix domain, based on the proximity of things.Although there are many differences between metaphor and metonymy, they are often intermingled with each other and their boundaries are blurred.Concerning the interaction between the two, foreign scholars put forward several modes of interaction.For example, the metonymy of the metonymy of Barcelona and the conceptual interaction model of Mendoza and the prism model of Geeraerts by: Goossens'"implicit metonymy" and "Barcelona's metonymy".Empiricism holds that man's conceptualization and interpretation of the world are based on his daily experience and his surroundings.As an important organ of human body, the hand provides a unique cognitive angle for people to perceive the world.Most of the existing researches on "hand" of human body words come from metaphor and metonymy respectively. However, there are few studies on human body words from the perspective of their interaction.This paper is a preliminary attempt to analyze the "hand" of human words under the framework of implicit metonymy interaction theory.In our study, we collected as many language expressions as possible from the British National Corpus, the Peking University Chinese language Research Database and some commonly used dictionaries about the "hand" in English and Chinese.Based on the theory of cognitive linguistics and the collected data, we make a detailed and systematic analysis of metaphor and metonymy of "hand" in English and Chinese.Then, this paper makes a comparative study of the similarities and differences of metaphor and metonymy between English and Chinese "hand" words in order to find out the underlying reasons behind the similarities and differences.For Goossens's "implicit metonymy" and the conceptual interaction model of Mendoza, this paper especially combines the specific examples of "hand" implicit metonymy phenomenon, although the study inevitably has its great limitations, the author hopes that this study can lead to the development of "hand" metonymy.To provide a new perspective for future research in this field.The results of this study are as follows: (1) No matter in English or Chinese, metaphor, metonymy, metonymy and metonymy are widely found in our daily expressions.) the similarity between hand metaphor and metonymy is greater than the difference between the two languages.Similarity originates from the commonness of human cognition, and the difference is rooted in the unique cultural pattern of each country.) metonymy plays a vital role in the interaction between the two.It is a more basic cognitive tool than metaphor in shaping our thinking patterns and conceptualizing.
