事件域認知模型視角下指令類間接言語行為的轉喻研究

【摘要】:間接言語行為,這一在我們生活中常見的語言現(xiàn)象,自Searle的間接言語行為理論問世以來,一直是語言學家們研究的熱點。近年來越來越多的學者開始在認知方面研究這一語言現(xiàn)象。 轉喻,同隱喻一樣,,是一種認知機制。它是人類一種基本的認知手段,對于人類推理起著重要的作用,因此對間接言語行為的研究離不開轉喻。Thornburg和Panther的言語行為轉喻理論把言語行為視為一個由幾個時段組成的行為場景,從而揭示了間接言語行為的轉喻本質,為間接言語行為的轉喻研究提供了理論依據(jù)。Hernández和Ruiz deMendoza認為,話語的生成和理解不能不考慮權勢、損益度、選擇的自由度等語用參數(shù)。他們在Thornburg和Panther行為場景模式的基礎上提出一些修正,以納入上述語用參數(shù)。王寅教授也針對前人的理論模型之不足提出了“事件域認知模型”的分析方法。事件域認知模型兼顧了線性和層級分析,適用于動態(tài)和靜態(tài)場景,符合人們的認知規(guī)律,可用于解釋概念結構和句法構造的成因,以及語義和交際層面中諸多現(xiàn)象,也可以對間接言語行為的轉喻機制做出清晰明了的認知解釋。 指令類間接言語行為一直是間接言語行為中的熱點話題。雖然王寅教授提到事件域認知模型可以用于分析指令類間接言語行為,但并未具體闡明其運作機制。本文以王寅2006年出版專著中提出的事件域認知模型理論為理論支撐,輔以Thornburg和Panther的言語行為轉喻理論,試圖建立一個指令類言語行為的事件域認知模型,用以具體闡述在事件域認知模型的框架內(nèi),人們?nèi)绾紊珊屠斫庵噶铑愰g接言語行為。本文還對事件域認知模型內(nèi)不同成分的轉喻力度,和影響間接指令的語用因素進行了分析。最后,通過對語用參數(shù)的比較,對不同類型的指令類間接言語行為,如請求,要求和建議,進行了闡釋和區(qū)分。通過研究發(fā)現(xiàn),事件域認知模型能夠為指令類間接言語行為建立一個清晰明了的轉喻理解模式,揭示了聽話者為什么能夠迅速理解間接指令,理解說話者的言外之意。從而說明轉喻是人們話語生成和理解的潛在機制,證明了指令類間接言語行為轉喻的本質。
[Abstract]:Indirect speech act, which is a common language phenomenon in our life, has come into being since Searle's theory of indirect speech act. In recent years, more and more scholars have begun to study this linguistic phenomenon in the cognitive aspect. Metonymy, like metaphor, is a cognitive mechanism. It is a basic cognitive tool for human beings and plays an important role in human reasoning. Therefore, the study of indirect speech act can not be separated from metonymy. Thornburg and Panther's speech act metonymy theory regards speech act as an action scene composed of several periods, thus revealing the metonymy essence of indirect speech act. For the metonymy study of indirect speech acts, Hern 謾 ndez and Ruiz deMendoza believe that power, profit and loss can not be taken into account in the generation and understanding of discourse. They proposed some modifications based on the Thornburg and Panther behavior scenarios. In order to incorporate the above pragmatic parameters, Professor Wang Yin has also put forward an analysis method of "event domain cognitive model" in view of the shortcomings of previous theoretical models. The event domain cognitive model takes both linear and hierarchical analysis into account and is suitable for both dynamic and static scenarios. It can be used to explain the causes of conceptual structure and syntactic structure, as well as many phenomena in semantic and communicative levels, as well as to provide a clear cognitive explanation for the metonymy mechanism of indirect speech acts. Directive indirect speech act has always been a hot topic in indirect speech act, although Professor Wang Yin mentioned that event domain cognitive model can be used to analyze indirect verbal act of instruction class. However, it does not specify the mechanism of its operation. This thesis is supported by the theory of event domain cognitive model proposed by Wang Yin in his monograph published in 2006, supported by the speech act metonymy theory of Thornburg and Panther. This paper attempts to establish an event-domain cognitive model of directive speech acts, which can be used to illustrate the framework of the event-domain cognitive model. This paper also analyzes the metonymy dynamics of different components in the event domain cognitive model and the pragmatic factors affecting indirect instruction. Finally, the comparison of pragmatic parameters is made. Different types of indirect speech acts such as requests, requirements and suggestions are explained and distinguished. It is found that the event domain cognitive model can establish a clear metonymy understanding model for directive indirect speech acts. It reveals why the hearer can quickly understand the indirect instruction and the speaker's implicature, thus explaining that metonymy is the potential mechanism of people's utterance generation and understanding, and proves the nature of the directive indirect speech act metonymy.
