【摘要】：本文是一篇翻譯項目報告。翻譯項目的原文為邁克爾·皮萊(Michael Pillay)、喬治·烏德(George Ude)和奇塔蘭詹·科爾(Chittaranjan Kole)編著的《香蕉遺傳、基因組學及育種》(Genetics,Genomics and Breeding of Bananas)中的第一章“引言”(Introduction)。原章節(jié)的主要內容是介紹了芭蕉屬的一般形態(tài)、不同的基因組、大小和倍性。本章突出介紹了芭蕉屬的經濟和學術價值以及種質和育種。本報告的主要內容分四部分,第一、翻譯項目介紹,包括項目的背景、目標、意義等。第二、原作背景介紹,包括作者介紹、主要內容介紹、原作評價和語言特征等。第三、翻譯難點與翻譯方法:在本章的翻譯過程中頻頻出現的人名、地名、機構名、生物術語和農學術語是翻譯過程中的難點。其中專門術語的翻譯尤為困難。在翻譯過程中用到的翻譯方法主要有:在信息文本分析指導下的英譯漢方法,直譯意譯和拆句和合句法。第四、總結在翻譯過程中所得到的啟發(fā)、教訓和仍待解決的問題。翻譯最重要的是要最大限度地傳遞原文的信息。做好翻譯需要譯者具備扎實的語言基礎,譯者必須關注兩種語言之間異同,在各個層面不斷貼近原文,注重等效的轉移。
