【摘要】：詩歌翻譯是一個特殊的藝術門類，既與文學創(chuàng)作相似，又有其獨特的審美原則。翻譯者須用另一種語言把原作的藝術意境傳達出來，使讀者在讀譯文的時候能像讀原作時一樣得到美的享受。中國古典詩歌語言含蓄雋永，高度凝練，意境豐富精深，這就使得古詩英譯不能僅僅滿足于忠實對等，更要在目的語中再現(xiàn)美感。 本文在回顧中西方翻譯美學傳統(tǒng)的基礎上，以許淵沖詩歌翻譯的“三美”原則為分析框架，對許淵沖和其他譯者對中國古典詩歌的英譯本進行對比研究。中國古典詩歌集意、音、形三美于一身，因此筆者從美學角度探討詩歌翻譯并對譯本的美學再現(xiàn)進行系統(tǒng)分析，從而證明“三美”原則對中國古詩英譯的翻譯實踐活動具有實用價值和許淵沖對詩歌翻譯的巨大貢獻。
