從女性主義視角解讀《了不起的蓋茨比》

弗·司各特·菲茨杰拉德,這位二十年代美國(guó)著名的小說(shuō)家,被譽(yù)為“爵士時(shí)代”的代言人和桂冠詩(shī)人。他的代表作《了不起的蓋茨比》被認(rèn)為是一部美國(guó)經(jīng)典,至今還是評(píng)論界的熱點(diǎn),評(píng)論界普遍將它看作是一部關(guān)于二十年代美國(guó)社會(huì)現(xiàn)實(shí)的小說(shuō)。對(duì)于其“美國(guó)夢(mèng)的幻滅”這一主題探討甚多,許多評(píng)論家認(rèn)為這是一部關(guān)于美國(guó)夢(mèng)的經(jīng)典之作,從浪漫的理想及理想的破滅等方面對(duì)作品進(jìn)行分析,其次是評(píng)論小說(shuō)的寫作技巧。到目前為止,還沒(méi)有作家或評(píng)論家從女性主義視角對(duì)《了不起的蓋茨比》進(jìn)行解讀。 在《了不起的蓋茨比》中菲茨杰拉德創(chuàng)造的“金錢羅曼史”雄辯地證實(shí)了他在美國(guó)文學(xué)史上的不朽功勛。盡管如此,人們可以很明顯地感受到小說(shuō)中的女性人物都是依附于男性而存在,對(duì)女性都是負(fù)面的刻畫,對(duì)黛西的刻畫更是如此。正如菲茨杰拉德自己指出的一樣,小說(shuō)中的女性都是被動(dòng)的,這是“一部男人的書”。隨著女性主義文學(xué)批評(píng)理論的發(fā)展,有必要從全新的角度對(duì)作品進(jìn)行重新解讀。 本文嘗試以女性主義為視角,用文本細(xì)讀的方式重新解讀《了不起的蓋茨比》,以期對(duì)這部作品有一個(gè)全新的認(rèn)識(shí),并為這部作品的研究打開(kāi)一個(gè)新的視野。 論文包括引言,正文的三個(gè)章節(jié)及結(jié)論部...
