勞倫斯是20世紀初最著名的英國小說家之一。《兒子與情人》是他寫作的最重要的一部小說。這部小說不僅被大眾所廣泛閱讀,并在知識分子的圈中為勞倫斯帶來了很高的聲名。小說中,勞倫斯認為工業(yè)文明的最大惡果不僅是破壞了美麗的大自然,更為嚴重的是壓抑了人的自然本性,破壞了人與人之間尤其是男人與女人之間的天然關(guān)系,所以他十分憤恨工業(yè)主義的文明,并且希望通過在男人與女人之間建立一種新的關(guān)系來挽救。作為勞倫斯最重要的小說之一,《兒子與情人》十分關(guān)注并致力于描寫那個時代的精神混亂和道德混亂狀況。通過作品,勞倫斯批判了虛偽理性對人性的干預(yù),呼喚自然人性的回歸,并提出了在那個時期他對倫理道德觀的看法。正是在這一點上他更是體現(xiàn)為一位倫理思想家。 本文以文學(xué)倫理學(xué)批評為方法,從倫理學(xué)的角度分析在《兒子與情人》中作者所表現(xiàn)出來的倫理思想。勞倫斯的作品以第一次世界大戰(zhàn)為背景,揭示經(jīng)濟生活的巨變和爭霸對個人心理的巨大影響。經(jīng)濟的轉(zhuǎn)型必然帶來上層建筑的變化——人的思想意識（包括倫理道德觀念和價值觀）、人際關(guān)系（尤其是男女關(guān)系）、人的自然天性等等都隨之發(fā)生深刻變化。我們在勞倫斯的小說中經(jīng)常能夠看見“囚禁者”和“束縛”等字眼,...
