【摘要】： 自從翻譯研究的文化轉(zhuǎn)向以來,西方對譯者主體性的研究取得了長足的進展,中國對譯者主體性的研究也方興未艾�！都t樓夢》是中國古典文學的瑰寶,它已經(jīng)被翻譯成多國文字。迄今為止,《紅樓夢》的英譯本中最有影響的兩個全譯本是產(chǎn)生于上世紀七十年代,由楊憲益、戴乃達夫婦合譯的A Dream of Red Mansions和大衛(wèi)·霍克斯與約翰·閔福德翻譯的The Story of the Stone。兩個權威的英譯本問世以來,對它們的品評文字源源不斷。本文以楊、霍兩個譯本為分析對象,探索兩位譯者在翻譯《紅樓夢》的過程中所體現(xiàn)出來的譯者主體性,并試圖從譯者主體性的角度來探討造成兩個譯本差異的背后原因。 本文從譯者主體性研究的歷史發(fā)展及其現(xiàn)狀著手,分析傳統(tǒng)翻譯思想有關譯者主體性的觀點,然后探索翻譯主體研究在當代的發(fā)展情況。在此基礎上進而闡述了譯者主體性的概念定義與相關理論。作者先從理論上闡明了翻譯文學作為文學一種存在形式的特殊價值所在,然后通過實例解說譯者主體性在整個文學翻譯的過程中的存在和體現(xiàn)方式來闡述譯者主體性的重要性及其表現(xiàn)。本文接著介紹了《紅樓夢》的文學地位、原作者曹雪芹的個人文學成就以及《紅樓夢》的英譯本及其研究狀況,并將譯者主體性的相關理論應用于文學作品《紅樓夢》的兩個譯本比較上,主要從原文本的選擇、翻譯策略的選擇以及譯作風格的選擇三個方面分析兩個譯本的異同,并進而剖析形成這些異同的譯者主體性因素。 最后,本文嘗試對于文學作品《紅樓夢》譯作中的譯者主體性體現(xiàn)做個總結(jié),闡述翻譯遠不僅是機械的文字轉(zhuǎn)換,譯者主體性的體現(xiàn)不僅是自然的,更是富于創(chuàng)造性和重要性的。
