【摘要】：文學(xué)翻譯既是不同語言的轉(zhuǎn)換活動(dòng),也是一種藝術(shù)再創(chuàng)造活動(dòng),同時(shí)也是一項(xiàng)跨文化的交流活動(dòng),背負(fù)著兩種文化的傳播及相互交流的重任。姜戎所著的《狼圖騰》自2004年在中國發(fā)行以來在閱讀和小說評論方面都引起了巨大反響。在2008年,葛浩文的英譯本在全球110個(gè)國家和地區(qū)同步發(fā)行。葛浩文是美國著名的中國當(dāng)代文學(xué)學(xué)者和翻譯家,由于他對《狼圖騰》的出色翻譯,這本小說獲得了第一屆亞曼仕文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)。近年來對葛浩文譯本的研究也在不斷增加,但大多數(shù)研究都只注重小說的文本和譯者,卻忽略的讀者本身。 本文以接受美學(xué)為理論框架,首先展現(xiàn)了譯文中的翻譯特點(diǎn),隨后從讀者的文化背景,語言習(xí)慣,理解能力和審美需求對比原文和譯文并加以分析,論述了葛浩文在翻譯中的策略選擇,指出讀者在翻譯中的主要地位。此外,本文指出葛浩文在翻譯中充分考慮讀者的需求,擺脫了原文形式的束縛,刪除了文本中大量的議論和描寫部分,調(diào)整了小說的結(jié)構(gòu),對譯本進(jìn)行了大量創(chuàng)作。最后得出讀者因素對葛浩文在《狼圖騰》翻譯時(shí)的文本選擇,策略選擇和語言表達(dá)形式都有不同程度的影響。
