解讀女權(quán)主義在后維多利亞至愛(ài)德華時(shí)期英國(guó)女性作家兒童文學(xué)中的體現(xiàn)

在眾多被運(yùn)用到兒童文學(xué)批評(píng)中的文化研究和文學(xué)理論里,女權(quán)主義批評(píng)理論被譽(yù)為是“兒童文學(xué)批評(píng)的新方向”。尤其是針對(duì)在后維多利亞到愛(ài)德華的轉(zhuǎn)折時(shí)期出現(xiàn)的一批新的英國(guó)女性作家的兒童文學(xué)作品及其標(biāo)志性的反傳統(tǒng)的女主人公們,女權(quán)主義文學(xué)批評(píng)給予了重新評(píng)價(jià)。這類(lèi)小說(shuō)大多以青少年女性為主角,重點(diǎn)描寫(xiě)她們的標(biāo)志性行為特征,并通過(guò)塑造她們反傳統(tǒng)的個(gè)性特征,來(lái)關(guān)注女性的心理以及社會(huì)地位的變化。然而值得注意的是,由于階級(jí)社會(huì)的壓力和影響,這些女性作家不可避免的最后都回歸到傳統(tǒng)的文學(xué)模式或是對(duì)性別問(wèn)題表達(dá)了模棱兩可的態(tài)度,所以,長(zhǎng)期以來(lái),在兒童文學(xué)評(píng)論界里,這些作品并未得到足夠重視,因?yàn)樗鼈儽徽J(rèn)為是“只變花樣,不變實(shí)質(zhì)”,只不過(guò)是機(jī)械重復(fù)傳統(tǒng)的階級(jí)思維模式。本文并不同意這一觀點(diǎn),為了推翻認(rèn)為這類(lèi)兒童文學(xué)只不過(guò)是逃避現(xiàn)實(shí)派的玩娛之作或是保守派寫(xiě)給中層社會(huì)女孩的成長(zhǎng)手冊(cè)的傳統(tǒng)觀點(diǎn),本文呼吁從女權(quán)主義角度對(duì)這類(lèi)兒童文學(xué)進(jìn)行重新審視,旨在分析女權(quán)主義觀點(diǎn)和積極意義在這類(lèi)作品中的體現(xiàn),以證明他們是女權(quán)主義第一階段中至關(guān)重要的組成部分。本文選取了維多利亞到愛(ài)德華時(shí)期幾部經(jīng)典之作包括米德·托瑪斯娜的《女孩畢業(yè)生》,伊迪絲·...
