【摘要】：本文旨在以會(huì)話含義理論為指導(dǎo)分析《紅樓夢(mèng)》人物語(yǔ)言的含義及功能并探討其翻譯方法。 《紅樓夢(mèng)》是寫于18世紀(jì)中期清朝乾隆年間的一部偉大的古典小說(shuō)。這部小說(shuō)不僅有著深刻的思想內(nèi)涵,進(jìn)步的政治趨勢(shì),其藝術(shù)形式尤其是人物語(yǔ)言的描寫更是引人入勝。 但可惜的是盡管很多人致力于《紅樓夢(mèng)》人物語(yǔ)言的研究,卻很少有人從語(yǔ)用學(xué)這一新興學(xué)科的角度來(lái)研究。為了傳達(dá)原作者的思想以及再現(xiàn)人物語(yǔ)言的藝術(shù)性,語(yǔ)用學(xué)的思想是不可缺少的。 會(huì)話含義理論是語(yǔ)用學(xué)中最重要的理論之一。由于在特定的語(yǔ)境下,話語(yǔ)的含義是具有一定的文化特色并受其作者或說(shuō)話人的意圖影響的,因此很難再現(xiàn)上下文的隱含意思及原信息的語(yǔ)言和文化特色,這里會(huì)話含義理論就是一個(gè)不錯(cuò)的方法。 本文先從語(yǔ)用學(xué)中的兩個(gè)基本的概念——意義與語(yǔ)境著手,介紹了格賴斯的合作原則及會(huì)話含義理論。在結(jié)合普通語(yǔ)用學(xué)理論與中國(guó)語(yǔ)用學(xué)思想的基礎(chǔ)上,文章分析了本小說(shuō)中人物語(yǔ)言的含義及其功能及具有中國(guó)特色的話語(yǔ)標(biāo)記語(yǔ)在其過(guò)程中所起的重要作用。本文還比較了楊憲益及其夫人戴乃迭的譯本與霍克斯和閔福得的譯本在翻譯人物語(yǔ)言方面的異同,在一般翻譯理論的基礎(chǔ)上總結(jié)出小說(shuō)人物語(yǔ)言翻譯的原則、策略及方法。 最后本文得出一個(gè)結(jié)論:盡管語(yǔ)用學(xué)方法并不是分析及翻譯小說(shuō)中人物語(yǔ)言的唯一方法,但是它在此過(guò)程中確實(shí)有著獨(dú)特的地位,而會(huì)話含義理論更是起著重要的作用。
