【摘要】：帕威爾教授從他兼具法國和美國的學(xué)術(shù)教育背景出發(fā),一方面給出了他對"強(qiáng)制闡釋"概念的贊同、理解和判定,另一方面也提出他的補(bǔ)充意見與進(jìn)一步的學(xué)科期待。本文分三部分內(nèi)容,首先是確認(rèn)"強(qiáng)制闡釋"核心概念下的場外征用、主觀預(yù)設(shè)和反序認(rèn)知等具體問題的存在;然后指出強(qiáng)制闡釋現(xiàn)象并非當(dāng)代獨(dú)有,而是歷史性地存在于19世紀(jì)初以來的西方文學(xué)研究里——從黑格爾時(shí)代的"時(shí)代精神"到實(shí)證主義的"社會環(huán)境",再到結(jié)構(gòu)主義的"敘事學(xué)"和當(dāng)代的文化批評,都有以概念掩蓋作品的多樣性事實(shí)的特點(diǎn);最后,帕威爾指出,當(dāng)代的強(qiáng)制闡釋現(xiàn)象體現(xiàn)了強(qiáng)烈的美國文化的特點(diǎn),也暴露了美國文學(xué)教育的問題,但他希望文學(xué)研究在糾偏的同時(shí),能夠保持住批評的寬度和活力。
