【摘要】：在翻譯傳統(tǒng)中,譯者通常被認為是隱形的因為他必須完全客觀地表達原作的意義,價值和風格。與科技翻譯不同,文學翻譯不僅要傳達字面意思,還要展現(xiàn)作者的風格并給目標語讀者帶來源語言讀者讀原作時的美學體驗。因此,文學翻譯需要譯者的創(chuàng)造性和目標語讀者的定位。由于不同的國家有不同的文化,翻譯就應該起到溝通和傳遞文化的功用�；谶@個理論,在上世紀70年代末,德國語言學家威密爾提出了目的論。該理論為翻譯界提供了功能與社會文化觀念。目的論強調(diào)譯者是為讀者服務的,翻譯策略的選擇也取決于目標語讀者。讀者的閱讀目的各有不同,同樣的翻譯作品不可能滿足不同讀者的不同需要。本文作者試圖將目的論應用到傅東華的漢譯本《飄》上,借此解讀功能翻譯理論。借助于德國的功能派翻譯理論,我們得以從一個新的視角來仔細解讀傅東華的譯作。本文的目的在于分析傅東華的譯作《飄》,包括他的目的,翻譯策略和影響因素,以便倡導一種文學作品翻譯上更為科學、有序的功能翻譯手段。希望本文能為文學翻譯研究略盡綿薄之力。
