【摘要】：莫言是西方最受歡迎的當(dāng)代中國小說家之一,其英譯者葛浩文對(duì)莫言作品的翻譯與傳播功不可沒。這篇論文從生態(tài)翻譯學(xué)角度分析了葛浩文英譯《生死疲勞》這一翻譯活動(dòng)中的適應(yīng)與選擇行為,解釋了葛譯成功的原因。清華大學(xué)學(xué)者胡庚申以達(dá)爾文生物進(jìn)化論中的“自然選擇”、“適者生存”等基本原理為基石,提出了“翻譯即適應(yīng)與選擇”的生態(tài)翻譯學(xué)理論。生態(tài)翻譯學(xué),是關(guān)于譯者與翻譯生態(tài)環(huán)境互動(dòng)的整體性研究,著眼于翻譯生態(tài)系統(tǒng)的整體性,從生態(tài)翻譯學(xué)視角及其敘事方式,對(duì)翻譯的本質(zhì),過程,標(biāo)準(zhǔn),原則和方法以及翻譯現(xiàn)象等作出新的描述和解釋。本文以葛浩文譯《生死疲勞》為研究對(duì)象,從生態(tài)翻譯學(xué)視角分析何浩文對(duì)該翻譯文本的選擇與適應(yīng),并從三維轉(zhuǎn)換中的文化維度來分析其對(duì)文化元素的翻譯,發(fā)現(xiàn)葛譯不僅是翻譯生態(tài)環(huán)境選擇與適應(yīng)的過程,也是包括作者、譯者、目標(biāo)讀者、委托者等在內(nèi)的整個(gè)翻譯生態(tài)環(huán)境動(dòng)態(tài)平衡、和諧統(tǒng)一的過程。全文內(nèi)容包括:緒論部分,介紹選題意義及論文整體布局;文獻(xiàn)綜述部分整理了生態(tài)翻譯理論,主要是其前期研究——翻譯適應(yīng)選擇論;譯本介紹部分展示了葛譯莫言的《生死疲勞》的背景,包括當(dāng)前研究結(jié)果及其翻譯生態(tài)環(huán)境介紹;第四部分直切主題,從譯者的適應(yīng)與選擇、三維轉(zhuǎn)換中的文化維度角度分析葛浩文的翻譯行為,并從中發(fā)現(xiàn)譯本助中古文化走出去的重要影響;最后一部分得出結(jié)論。該論文從這樣一個(gè)譯學(xué)研究新視角對(duì)莫言小說的英譯進(jìn)行分析探討,不僅能探索、張揚(yáng)其譯者葛浩文的翻譯思想和翻譯成就,更有助于驗(yàn)證生態(tài)翻譯學(xué)理論對(duì)翻譯活動(dòng)的指導(dǎo)性和適應(yīng)性。
