本文的翻譯材料節(jié)選自《約翰遜書信集》,該書信集共有五卷,包括大約1683封塞繆爾·約翰遜親筆撰寫的書信。本文重點研討了該書信集第三卷前五十封信的翻譯實踐。基于文本分析,筆者總結了原文在詞法與句法上的特點,分析了紐馬克的交際翻譯在本次翻譯實踐中的適用性,結合案例分析剖析了本次翻譯實踐過程中遇到的困難,闡述了如何在交際翻譯指導下,采用恰當?shù)姆g技巧使譯文更通順、清晰、易懂。最后,本文得出結論,交際翻譯策略適用于書信文本的英漢翻譯。
