【摘要】：隨著社會的發(fā)展,翻譯家研究越來越成為整個翻譯研究中的重要課題。羅稷南(1898-1971)是我國著名的文學(xué)翻譯家,精通英語、俄語,并于1922年開始發(fā)表作品。由于各種原因,他的翻譯活動并沒有受到太多的關(guān)注。因此,對羅稷南的翻譯活動進(jìn)行全面、系統(tǒng)和深入的研究非常重要。羅稷南的翻譯實踐促進(jìn)了外國文學(xué)在中國的傳播,幫助中國讀者更好地了解世界。他翻譯了許多外國經(jīng)典文學(xué)作品。在特殊的社會文化背景下,羅稷南不僅擁有豐富的翻譯實踐,而且在其實踐的基礎(chǔ)上形成了自己的翻譯特色和具有時代性的翻譯思想,其翻譯思想一直指導(dǎo)其翻譯實踐。本文以著名文學(xué)翻譯家羅稷南為研究對象。羅稷南是國內(nèi)首位譯介狄更斯的《雙城記》的翻譯家。通過分析其翻譯的狄更斯的小說《雙城記》和高爾斯華綏的小說《有產(chǎn)者》,探討社會文化等因素對羅稷南翻譯實踐的影響及主要翻譯方法的使用,總結(jié)其翻譯實踐和翻譯思想的特點(diǎn)和價值。此外,本文還對羅稷南的翻譯實踐和翻譯思想進(jìn)行評析,肯定羅稷南作為翻譯家在中國翻譯史上的地位,從而使這位翻譯家為人們所熟知。最后,本文還指出了研究中存在的不足之處并對未來的研究提出了建議。羅稷南的翻譯實踐和翻譯思想對豐富我國的文學(xué)系統(tǒng),促進(jìn)中西文化交流,以及對我國翻譯理論的發(fā)展均做出了貢獻(xiàn)。他的翻譯思想是其留給我們后輩的寶貴財富。
