【摘要】：Vanity Fair是英國批判現(xiàn)實(shí)主義小說家威廉·梅克比斯·薩克雷的代表作,也是英國文壇具有較高的文學(xué)研究?jī)r(jià)值的作品之一,對(duì)世界文學(xué)發(fā)展起著重要影響。在《名利場(chǎng)》的眾多中譯本中,伍光建和楊必的兩個(gè)譯本非常具有研究?jī)r(jià)值。本文以安德烈·勒菲弗爾的操縱理論為基礎(chǔ),對(duì)該小說的兩個(gè)中譯本(伍光建譯本與楊必譯本)進(jìn)行研究。操縱理論將翻譯定義為對(duì)原文文本的改寫過程,一定時(shí)期的社會(huì)文化因素對(duì)翻譯的結(jié)果存在操控。伍光建和楊必各自采取不同的翻譯策略,產(chǎn)生了兩種形象存在差異的譯本。但兩譯本都是成功之作,各有其時(shí)代特色,深受譯入語讀者的歡迎。本文通過較為全面的對(duì)比研究挖掘意識(shí)形態(tài)、詩學(xué)及贊助人對(duì)兩個(gè)不同時(shí)期譯本的重要影響及其表現(xiàn)。本文第一章先對(duì)研究對(duì)象、研究目的以及研究方法等進(jìn)行介紹,同時(shí)回顧和分析以前的相關(guān)研究。第二章分別闡釋了意識(shí)形態(tài)、詩學(xué)及贊助人對(duì)翻譯活動(dòng)的影響。第三章先對(duì)兩位譯者所處時(shí)代的主流意識(shí)形態(tài)進(jìn)行分析,進(jìn)而分析該主流意識(shí)形態(tài)對(duì)譯者個(gè)人翻譯觀的影響。最后從兩個(gè)譯本中人物身份、地名、新事物、文化負(fù)載詞等的翻譯闡述了意識(shí)形態(tài)對(duì)翻譯的操縱。第四章針對(duì)不同時(shí)期的譯入語主流詩學(xué)觀進(jìn)行對(duì)比分析。本章從兩位譯者所采取的翻譯策略闡述了詩學(xué)觀對(duì)翻譯的操縱。第五章嘗試對(duì)贊助人因素進(jìn)行分析。從分析中可以看出翻譯出版機(jī)構(gòu)以及相應(yīng)時(shí)代的審核機(jī)制對(duì)譯者的翻譯活動(dòng)以及譯著的出版有著深刻的影響。第六章對(duì)全文的研究進(jìn)行總結(jié),指出主要研究結(jié)果和不足之處。通過對(duì)《浮華世界》與《名利場(chǎng)》兩個(gè)譯本進(jìn)行對(duì)比和研究,本文發(fā)現(xiàn)意識(shí)形態(tài)、詩學(xué)觀與贊助人對(duì)兩個(gè)譯本存在不同程度的操縱。翻譯操縱確實(shí)具體存在于兩個(gè)譯本的諸多方面,意識(shí)形態(tài)和詩學(xué)觀會(huì)影響譯者對(duì)翻譯文本和翻譯策略的選擇;同時(shí)也說明了贊助人對(duì)伍光建和楊必的翻譯活動(dòng)的產(chǎn)生影響。
