本文從后殖民主義視角對圭亞那作家戴維·達比丁的小說《消散》和美國黑人女作家托妮·莫里森的《最藍的眼睛》進行比較研究。《消散》和《最藍的眼睛》這兩部小說都講述的是黑人作為被殖民者在白人社會中遭遇的精神困境。盡管殖民統(tǒng)治已經(jīng)瓦解,但白人殖民者對黑人的精神殖民并沒有結(jié)束。白人統(tǒng)治者通過控制大眾傳媒、學(xué)校教育和宗教信仰實施文化霸權(quán),以此同化黑人,致使在白人主流文化中生活的黑人產(chǎn)生自卑自厭的心理,在忘卻黑人文化的同時,面臨身份認(rèn)同的危機。本文采用比較研究法,運用安東尼·葛蘭西的文化霸權(quán)理論和弗朗茨·法農(nóng)的種族創(chuàng)傷理論,探討了兩部作品的共同點和不同點。兩部小說都彰顯的是后殖民主題,涉及黑人在白人文化中扭曲的心理和身份認(rèn)同危機,從不同的層面敘述了殖民統(tǒng)治造成的殖民創(chuàng)傷。論文從傳媒、教育和宗教三方面探討了文化霸權(quán)對黑人造成的危害。《最藍的眼睛》展現(xiàn)的是被殖民的黑人所承受的種族創(chuàng)傷,而《消散》則展現(xiàn)的是殖民統(tǒng)治給被殖民者和殖民者雙方帶來的創(chuàng)傷。此外,兩部作品對黑人傳統(tǒng)的態(tài)度也不盡相同。在《最藍的眼睛》中,作者體現(xiàn)的是堅守黑人傳統(tǒng)方能在白人社會幸存的觀點,而在《消散》中,作者想要表達的是,即便固守黑人傳統(tǒng)...
