語(yǔ)境視域下的《女勇士》回譯對(duì)比研究

《女勇士》是美籍華裔作家湯亭亭用英文創(chuàng)作的關(guān)于中國(guó)主題的文學(xué)作品。該作于1976年首次出版后便蜚聲美國(guó)文壇,成為流行一時(shí)的暢銷(xiāo)書(shū)。該作品大量改寫(xiě)并挪用中國(guó)文化故事與歷史典故,滿(mǎn)足了西方人對(duì)中國(guó)文化的獵奇,是當(dāng)時(shí)西方人接觸并了解中國(guó)文化的重要文學(xué)作品之一!杜率俊返臐h譯需要將那些改編過(guò)的中國(guó)傳統(tǒng)文化故事和歷史典故翻譯成漢語(yǔ),并回歸到中國(guó)文化故土,這種現(xiàn)象屬于文化回譯的范疇。本文將從系統(tǒng)功能語(yǔ)言學(xué)的語(yǔ)境觀出發(fā),采用對(duì)比的研究方法來(lái)探討《女勇士》兩個(gè)譯本中的文化回譯現(xiàn)象及其不同翻譯方法背后的緣由,以求實(shí)現(xiàn)文化元素在語(yǔ)言形式與文化內(nèi)涵上的準(zhǔn)確回歸,進(jìn)而對(duì)中國(guó)文化與形象進(jìn)行自我審視與認(rèn)知提升,為促進(jìn)中西文學(xué)文化的深入交流與文明互鑒創(chuàng)造條件?紤]到文化回譯過(guò)程中語(yǔ)境因素的復(fù)雜性,筆者首先結(jié)合胡壯麟的語(yǔ)境理論框架與韓禮德對(duì)情景語(yǔ)境(語(yǔ)域)的具體劃分與闡述建立了一個(gè)文化回譯的語(yǔ)境分析模型,涉及上下文語(yǔ)境、情景語(yǔ)境與文化語(yǔ)境三大范疇。上下文語(yǔ)境指的是語(yǔ)篇的內(nèi)部環(huán)境,即語(yǔ)言自身的環(huán)境;情景語(yǔ)境指的是語(yǔ)篇產(chǎn)生時(shí)的周?chē)闆r、事件的性質(zhì)、參與者的關(guān)系、時(shí)間、地點(diǎn)、方式等,即韓禮德所說(shuō)的語(yǔ)域概念,包括語(yǔ)場(chǎng)、語(yǔ)旨...
