十七年（1949-1966）是外國文學(xué)在中國的引進和發(fā)展的特殊時期,尤其是與我國政治形態(tài)相對立的英美文學(xué)的譯介更是特點顯著,呈現(xiàn)出譯介高峰和低谷的極端變化。副文本是環(huán)繞正文本的輔助文本,對正文本及其作者進行說明和交待,可以作為文學(xué)研究的史料。然而,學(xué)者們對于十七年的研究多集中在翻譯史?翻譯家以及具體翻譯作品等方面,關(guān)于該時期副文本的專門研究還很少。本文以十七年英美文學(xué)譯作的副文本為研究對象,從描述翻譯學(xué)和數(shù)據(jù)處理的角度對十七年間英美文學(xué)的副文本按其受到褒揚、批評、既有褒揚又有批評,以及無明顯評價等四種待遇分為了四類,隨后采取描寫與個案分析相結(jié)合的方法闡述其受到褒揚或貶乏批評等的原因?最后,本文結(jié)合當(dāng)時中國的政治背景、翻譯政策和文藝政策等對十七年間中國特殊的英美文學(xué)譯介現(xiàn)象進行歸納和總結(jié)。研究發(fā)現(xiàn),十七年間英美文學(xué)在中國的譯介主要受中國當(dāng)時的政治背景所影響,另外翻譯政策和文藝政策也同樣發(fā)揮了較大作用,這一點在英美文學(xué)譯作的副文本中表現(xiàn)得淋漓盡致:凡是褒揚社會主義?擁護人民?為窮人發(fā)聲的作家作品都受到譯者或出版商的贊美,而宣揚資本主義永恒、提倡貴族享樂、殖民思想等的作家作品大都得不到譯介或...
