[Abstract]:The novels of the Ming and Qing dynasties and the English Goths in the 18 th century are all about the creation of ghosts. Ghosts are the product of imagination and fiction. Chinese and British literature about ghosts is very rich. This kind of novel creation is a fictional stylistic form of reality. When the novel style is used to express the ghost image, the double virtual structure will create a kind of free imagination space. The novels of Ming and Qing dynasties and English Goths in the 18th century belong to a subcategory in the history of literature and are in a marginal position. Since 1980 s, there has been a rising upsurge in the study of Gothic novels in England. Influenced by the previous political standards and reading thinking patterns, the translation, introduction and research of Gothic novels in China is not enough, and the domestic readers are still very strange to them. Although some commentators have made a new interpretation and interpretation of the novels of the Ming and Qing dynasties, their horizons are mostly confined to the national literature, lack of a worldwide vision from the perspective of comparative literature, and rarely look at its important value and significance from the perspective of the world. From the perspective of comparison and on the basis of analyzing the representative works, this paper discusses the similarities and differences between the two in narrative art (narrative space, narrative time, narrative perspective), so as to highlight their common aesthetic characteristics and their uniqueness and value. This paper is divided into five parts. In the introduction part, the author summarizes the strange novels and goth novels, and points out the comparability between them. The first chapter is the comparison of narrative space, which holds that both of them use realistic and illusory space narration, which can produce grotesque and scary aesthetic effects, but they are different from each other. The second chapter is the comparison of narrative time, which analyzes the differences between the two from the three angles of narration, flashback and pre-narration. The third chapter is the comparison of narrative perspectives, which analyzes the similarities and differences between them from the perspective of choice and application of narrative perspectives, that is, omniscience narrative perspective, limited narrative perspective and multiple narrative perspectives. The conclusion part points out the importance and significance of the comparison between the two novels.
