[Abstract]:Zhang Ailing is an outstanding female writer in the history of Chinese literature. She has established her position in the literary world with her skilful novel skills and unique style of writing, and has attracted extensive attention from readers. However, Zhang Ailing is not just a "legendary" writer. Her contribution in translation is not to be underestimated, but it is seldom mentioned in academic circles. The most important thing is that Zhang Ailing, as a female translator, shows an obvious feminist tendency in the process of translation. Western feminist translation theory mainly from the standpoint of feminism, advocates the use of language to actively interfere with the creation of meaning, in translation as far as possible "make women appear in the language, so that the world can see and hear women"; His representative, Frodo, sums up the linguistic strategies commonly used by Western feminist translators: supplement, add foreword or footnote and hijack. Based on the western feminist translation theory, this paper attempts to study the four translations of Zhang Ailing by means of detailed reading and comparison of the translated text and the original text, such as "resentful woman", "Yangko", "the Story of Sleeping Valley" and "the Old Man and the Sea". This paper analyzes the embodiment of Zhang Ailing's feminist thought in her creation and translation, as well as what Western feminist translation strategies she has adopted in her translation to express her feminist thoughts. On this basis, it explores the oriental color of feminism in Zhang Ailing's translation. In this paper, Zhang Ailing's translation works are reviewed, which highlights the shortcomings of the research on Zhang Ailing's translation so far, and explains the necessity of this study. It also introduces the western feminist translation theory, which is the theoretical background of this thesis. The first chapter mainly elaborates Zhang Ailing's feminist thought in the creation and the translation interaction embodiment. Under the influence of special family and education background, Zhang Ailing gradually formed a distinct feminist thought, and in his creation, he clearly expressed this feminist thought by shaping the different images of men and women. At the same time, in her translation, she also used feminist creative strategies to further strengthen her feminist thought. Chapter two introduces Zhang Ailing's application of western feminist translation strategies in his translation. Through the comparative analysis of the translated text and the original text, it is proved that Zhang Ailing has flexibly adapted and used three common western feminist language strategies (including foreword, supplement and hijack). On the basis of comparing the translation strategies of western feminism, chapter three summarizes the oriental color of feminism in Zhang Ailing's translation, which is mainly manifested in the use of the metaphorical meaning of words to imply his feminist thoughts. By comparing the images of men and women to highlight women, thus destroying the foundation stone of the patriarchal system in Confucian culture, and expressing the expectation of establishing a harmonious relationship between men and women in the process of constant pursuit of coordination and dialogue with male discourse. In addition, three reasons for the difference are summarized: the differences in ideology, translation view and cultural background between China and the West. In the end, the thesis summarizes the main contents of the thesis and concludes that Zhang Ailing is an excellent feminist translator, and her feminist thoughts are worth studying and drawing lessons from.
