《阿Q正傳》漢英語(yǔ)篇銜接手段的對(duì)比研究與翻譯策略

【摘要】:語(yǔ)篇的銜接是語(yǔ)篇研究的核心,是實(shí)現(xiàn)語(yǔ)篇連貫性的重要手段。本研究以魯迅先生的小說(shuō)《阿Q正傳》及著名翻譯家楊憲益、戴乃迭夫婦翻譯的英譯本為分析素材,以韓禮德和哈桑(1976)提出的銜接理論為基礎(chǔ),根據(jù)他們的劃分銜接手段可分為照應(yīng)、替代、省略、連接和詞匯銜接。這五種銜接手段在英漢中有不同運(yùn)用。采用對(duì)比分析漢英語(yǔ)篇中的銜接關(guān)系,綜合語(yǔ)篇語(yǔ)言學(xué)理論,對(duì)比語(yǔ)言學(xué)理論,以及翻譯理論,旨在探討并歸納漢英語(yǔ)篇銜接關(guān)系的相同點(diǎn)與差異,并深入分析造成這些差異的因素。針對(duì)英漢語(yǔ)篇銜接手段的差異,系統(tǒng)地探討翻譯策略,為外語(yǔ)教學(xué)和翻譯實(shí)踐的發(fā)展提供一些參考性的建議。 本研究共由六部分組成: 第一,引言。主要說(shuō)明作者的研究目的、范圍和相關(guān)概念。闡明了本文的意義。這里我們對(duì)英漢語(yǔ)銜接手段進(jìn)行對(duì)比研究,其目的就是找出它們的異同并給予解釋。英漢對(duì)比研究的目的之一就是指導(dǎo)翻譯活動(dòng),所以本研究的重要性就在于把研究的結(jié)果應(yīng)用于指導(dǎo)翻譯實(shí)踐活動(dòng)。 第二,文獻(xiàn)綜述。簡(jiǎn)要回顧銜接理論的起源與發(fā)展、銜接與連貫及語(yǔ)篇分析的關(guān)系。銜接作為構(gòu)成語(yǔ)篇的重要組成部分,吸引了眾多學(xué)者的研究興趣。闡述了國(guó)內(nèi)外對(duì)銜接及語(yǔ)篇語(yǔ)言學(xué)研究的發(fā)展和現(xiàn)狀。 第三,介紹魯迅的小說(shuō)《阿Q正傳》及楊憲益夫婦的英譯本。 第四,小說(shuō)《阿Q正傳》漢英語(yǔ)篇銜接手段的對(duì)比分析。采用實(shí)例對(duì)比分析方法,對(duì)比研究了《阿Q正傳》英漢語(yǔ)篇中的五種銜接?偨Y(jié)了兩種語(yǔ)言在使用銜接上的差異,并粗略地指出了這些差異對(duì)翻譯的影響。英漢語(yǔ)言結(jié)構(gòu)的主要差異在于英語(yǔ)重形合,而漢語(yǔ)重意合,這一特點(diǎn)對(duì)于英漢銜接手段對(duì)比至關(guān)重要。本章進(jìn)行了必要的闡述。 第五,探討在翻譯實(shí)踐中如何應(yīng)用銜接理論,以及有效地處理銜接手段的策略。 第六部分為結(jié)論,首先簡(jiǎn)略地復(fù)述了論文的主要意思,進(jìn)一步總結(jié)了譯者在翻譯活動(dòng)中對(duì)銜接手段的應(yīng)用,同時(shí)銜接手段也有待進(jìn)一步的發(fā)展。 本研究的創(chuàng)新之處在于通過(guò)比較分析特定作品的中文本、英譯本,探討了英漢語(yǔ)篇銜接手段的異同以及翻譯時(shí)的轉(zhuǎn)換策略。
[Abstract]:Cohesion is the core of discourse research and an important means to achieve textual coherence. The present study is based on the English translation of Lu Xun's novel A Q and the famous translators Yang Xianyi and Danadian, and based on the cohesion theory put forward by Halliday and Hasan (1976). According to their division cohesive devices can be divided into anaphora, substitution, ellipsis, conjunction and lexical cohesion. These five cohesive devices have different applications in English and Chinese. By contrastive analysis of cohesion relations in Chinese and English texts, integrating textual linguistics theory, contrastive linguistics theory and translation theory, the paper aims to explore and conclude the similarities and differences of cohesion relations between Chinese and English texts. And the factors that cause these differences are analyzed in depth. In view of the differences in cohesive devices between English and Chinese, translation strategies are systematically discussed in order to provide some useful suggestions for the development of foreign language teaching and translation practice. This study consists of six parts: first, introduction. This paper mainly explains the purpose, scope and related concepts of the author's research. The significance of this paper is clarified. The purpose of this comparative study is to find out their similarities and differences and explain them. One of the purposes of contrastive study in English and Chinese is to direct translation activities, so the importance of this study lies in applying the results of the study to guide translation practice. Second, literature review. This paper briefly reviews the origin and development of cohesion theory, the relationship between cohesion and coherence and discourse analysis. Cohesion, as an important component of discourse, has attracted many scholars' interest. This paper expounds the development and present situation of cohesion and discourse linguistics both at home and abroad. Thirdly, it introduces Lu Xun's novel A Q and the English translation of Yang Xianyi and his wife. Fourth, the contrastive analysis of cohesive devices in the novel A Q. In this paper, a comparative study of five kinds of cohesion in English and Chinese texts is carried out by means of a contrastive analysis of examples. This paper summarizes the differences in the use of cohesion between the two languages, and points out roughly the impact of these differences on translation. The main difference between English and Chinese lies in English hypertaxis and Chinese parataxis, which is very important for the comparison of English and Chinese cohesive devices. This chapter carries on the necessary elaboration. Fifth, it discusses how to apply cohesion theory in translation practice and how to deal with cohesive devices effectively. In the sixth part, the author briefly restates the main meaning of the thesis and summarizes the translator's application of cohesive devices in translation activities. At the same time, cohesive devices need to be further developed. The innovation of this study lies in the comparative analysis of the Chinese and English versions of specific works, and the similarities and differences of cohesive devices in English and Chinese texts, as well as the translation strategies.
