從認(rèn)知語言學(xué)角度看中國古詩詞英譯中意象和意境的傳遞

【摘要】: 近年來越來越多的國內(nèi)外學(xué)者熱衷于中國古典詩詞的翻譯。翻譯工作者們積極的把包括唐詩宋詞在內(nèi)的中國古典詩詞翻譯介紹到國外,促進(jìn)了中外文化的交流。中國古典詩詞是中國文學(xué)的瑰寶,以含蓄、簡約和微妙見長,其中最重要的特點(diǎn)就是豐富的意象和耐人尋味的意境。目前國內(nèi)有很多學(xué)者致力于中國古典詩詞意象和意境的翻譯研究,但他們的研究多是從文化角度或傳統(tǒng)的語文學(xué)角度出發(fā),很少涉及與意象和意境傳遞有關(guān)的內(nèi)在認(rèn)知過程。本文旨在運(yùn)用認(rèn)知語言學(xué),特別是其中的突顯原則來分析中國古典詩詞英譯中意象和意境傳遞的認(rèn)知過程,通過分析譯者內(nèi)在的認(rèn)知機(jī)制與意象和意境的理解和傳遞的密切關(guān)系,我們能深入譯者的思維過程,從而了解在古詩詞英譯過程中再現(xiàn)這種藝術(shù)特征的可能性。 本文共分六章進(jìn)行闡述。第一部分簡單介紹了理論背景,目前研究情況以及本文所要研究的問題。第二部分回顧了中國古典詩詞中的意象和意境。第三部分介紹了認(rèn)知語言學(xué),作者首先簡單討論了認(rèn)知語言學(xué)與翻譯研究的關(guān)系,之后重點(diǎn)介紹了認(rèn)知語言學(xué)的突顯原則。第四部分從認(rèn)知語言學(xué)的角度分析了翻譯過程中意象和意境的傳遞。作者首先從認(rèn)知的角度分析了中國古詩詞中的意象和意境,之后分析了造成意象和意境理解困難的認(rèn)知原因以及突顯原則在意象和意境的傳遞過程中所起到的積極作用。第五部分繼續(xù)運(yùn)用認(rèn)知語言學(xué)的突顯原則對不同類型的中國古典詩詞及其譯本進(jìn)行了分析,作者分析了譯者不同的認(rèn)知方式給原詩意象和意境的傳遞帶來的影響,旨在找到更好的傳遞古詩詞意象和意境的方法。最后一部分為全文的總結(jié)。 總而言之,認(rèn)知語言學(xué)理論在國外的快速發(fā)展為中國古典詩詞的翻譯研究開辟了一條新的道路。把認(rèn)知語言學(xué)理論引入到中國古典詩詞的翻譯研究中,從認(rèn)知的角度分析中國古典詩詞翻譯過程中意象和意境的傳遞,必然會(huì)為我們的翻譯研究提供一個(gè)新的視角。
[Abstract]:In recent years, more and more scholars at home and abroad are keen on the translation of Chinese classical poetry. Translators actively introduce the translation of Chinese classical poetry, including Tang poetry and Song ci, to foreign countries, which promotes the cultural exchange between China and foreign countries. Chinese classical poetry is the treasure of Chinese literature, which is subtle, simple and subtle, the most important characteristic of which is rich images and interesting artistic conception. At present, there are many scholars in China devoted to the translation of Chinese classical poetry imagery and artistic conception, but most of their studies are from the perspective of culture or traditional language and literature, and rarely involve the internal cognitive process related to image and artistic conception transmission. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the cognitive process of image and artistic conception transmission in English translation of Chinese classical poetry by using cognitive linguistics, especially the principle of salience. By analyzing the close relationship between the translator's internal cognitive mechanism and the understanding and transmission of imagery and artistic conception, we can deepen the translator's thinking process and understand the possibility of reproducing this artistic feature in the process of translating ancient poetry into English. This paper is divided into six chapters. The first part briefly introduces the theoretical background, current research situation and the problems to be studied in this paper. The second part reviews the image and artistic conception in Chinese classical poetry. The third part introduces cognitive linguistics. Firstly, the author briefly discusses the relationship between cognitive linguistics and translation studies, and then focuses on the salience principle of cognitive linguistics. The fourth part analyzes the transfer of imagery and artistic conception in the process of translation from the perspective of cognitive linguistics. The author first analyzes the imagery and artistic conception in ancient Chinese poetry from the perspective of cognition, and then analyzes the cognitive reasons for the difficulty in understanding imagery and artistic conception and the positive role played by the principle of prominence in the transmission of imagery and artistic conception. The fifth part continues to analyze different types of classical Chinese poems and their translations using the principle of salience in cognitive linguistics. The author analyzes the influence of the translator's different cognitive styles on the transmission of the original poetic image and artistic conception. In order to find a better way to convey the image and artistic conception of ancient poetry. The last part is the summary of the full text. In a word, the rapid development of cognitive linguistics in foreign countries has opened a new way for the translation of Chinese classical poetry. Introducing the theory of cognitive linguistics into the study of translation of Chinese classical poetry and analyzing the transfer of imagery and artistic conception in the process of translating Chinese classical poetry from a cognitive perspective will certainly provide a new perspective for our translation studies.
