【摘要】: 周作人(1885-1967)是一位杰出的翻譯家和文學(xué)家,在中學(xué)和西學(xué)方面都有頗深的造詣兼?zhèn)鹘y(tǒng)文化與新文化于一身。他的研究所涉及的領(lǐng)域包括文學(xué)、佛經(jīng)研究、社會,翻譯和美學(xué)等。由于種種歷史原因,周作人曾一度為學(xué)術(shù)界所唾棄,他的翻譯成就更是很大程度上被人們所忽視。然而,隨著國內(nèi)學(xué)術(shù)界氛圍的日漸輕松,越來越多的學(xué)者把目光投向了周作人,尤其是他的翻譯理論和翻譯實踐成果。其中,周作人于1944年在《翻譯四則》中提出的文言文翻譯觀仍然鮮為人知。事實上,周作人是一位豐富多產(chǎn)的翻譯理論家,他翻譯了230多篇作品,寫了諸多翻譯理論論文,這也是他翻譯思想的實踐基礎(chǔ)。本文著眼于論證周作人文言文翻譯觀的合理性和成功之處。 目前,國內(nèi)對周作人的翻譯理論研究,總體上有引述、解釋以及評述這三個角度,他們的研究成果各具特色,但很少有突破性的進展。本文作者通過歸納前人的研究,閱讀和整理周作人的譯作和相關(guān)材料,以翻譯實踐、理論和例證分析三個角度相結(jié)合的方式來論證文言文翻譯觀的合理性和成功之處。 周作人在16歲開始接觸英語,19歲跟隨其兄長魯迅留學(xué)東洋。他的翻譯活動就是從這個時候在東京開始的,他翻譯了許多外國文學(xué)作品,包括故事和小說,其中最有代表性的作品是《紅星佚史》。在長達(dá)60年的翻譯生涯中,他在翻譯著述方面的成果頗豐。在五四新文化運動之前,我國的翻譯基本上以文言文為翻譯語體,周作人就是其典型代表。在此基礎(chǔ)上,周作人還提出了文言翻譯觀,這一點引起了一些當(dāng)代學(xué)者的共鳴。 總而言之,本文以周作人的文言文翻譯觀的合理性為核心,圍繞文言文翻譯的優(yōu)點,讀者的期待視野和譯者的主體性這三個角度,以他的翻譯實踐為實證展開論述。
[Abstract]:Zhou Zuoren was an outstanding translator and litterateur, with great attainments in high school and western studies, and a combination of traditional culture and new culture. His studies include literature, Buddhist sutras, society, translation, and aesthetics. For various historical reasons, Zhou Zuoren was once rejected by academic circles, and his translation was ignored to a great extent. However, with the increasing relaxation of academic atmosphere in China, more and more scholars have turned their attention to Zhou Zuoren, especially his translation theory and translation practice. Among them, the classical Chinese translation theory put forward by Zhou Zuoren in 1944 is still unknown. In fact, Zhou Zuoren is a prolific translation theorist. He has translated more than 230 works and written many translation theoretical papers, which is the practical basis of his translation theory. This paper focuses on the reasonableness and success of Zhou Zuoren's theory of classical Chinese translation. At present, the translation theories of Zhou Zuoren are generally quoted, interpreted and commented. Their research results have their own characteristics, but few breakthrough progress. By summarizing the previous studies, reading and arranging Zhou Zuoren's translations and related materials, the author tries to demonstrate the rationality and success of classical Chinese translation in three ways: translation practice, theory and illustration analysis. Zhou Zuoren began exposure to English at the age of 16 and studied abroad with his brother, Lu Xun, at the age of 19. His translation activities began in Tokyo at this time. He translated many foreign literary works, including stories and novels, the most representative of which was the lost History of the Red Star. During his 60 years of translation career, he has achieved a lot in translation and writing. Before the May 4th New Culture Movement, classical Chinese was regarded as the translation style in China, and Zhou Zuoren was its typical representative. On this basis, Zhou Zuoren also put forward the translation view of classical Chinese, which resonates with some contemporary scholars. In a word, this thesis focuses on the rationality of Zhou Zuoren's translation view of classical Chinese, and discusses his translation practice from three angles: the advantages of classical Chinese translation, the reader's horizon of expectation and the translator's subjectivity.
