【摘要】： 本文通過考察林語堂文化身份的建構(gòu)過程，旨在探討文化身份對翻譯過程的影響。 林語堂是中國翻譯史上一位特殊的重要人物，一生致力于翻譯實(shí)踐和英文寫作，利用自己獨(dú)有的文化身份為中國文化在西方的傳播做出了獨(dú)有的貢獻(xiàn)。對自己的這種身份，，林語堂曾用自嘲的口吻界定為“一捆矛盾”。本文以林語堂文化身份的建構(gòu)過程為切入點(diǎn)，探討文化身份對其翻譯活動的影響。作者認(rèn)為林語堂文化身份的特殊性在于混合了西方和中國傳統(tǒng)文化。這種特殊性還體現(xiàn)在林語堂的文化身份隨社會、歷史、文化語境的變化而變化上，并同時(shí)對他的翻譯活動產(chǎn)生了巨大影響，特別是對他的翻譯動機(jī)和目的、譯本的選擇和翻譯策略及方法上影響巨大。 本文分四個(gè)部分： 第一章屬前言性質(zhì)，主要為有關(guān)文化身份及林語堂文化身份的文獻(xiàn)綜述。 第二章首先探討林語堂文化身份建構(gòu)的兩個(gè)階段，然后以此為出發(fā)點(diǎn)，將他的翻譯活動分為三個(gè)時(shí)期，詳細(xì)探討林語堂的文化身份在不同時(shí)期對其翻譯活動的影響。 第三章通過分析林語堂的英譯本《浮生六記》中句子和文化詞的翻譯，探討林語堂的文化身份對其翻譯策略和方法的影響。 第四章總結(jié)林語堂文化身份的建構(gòu)對其翻譯活動所產(chǎn)生的影響，指出譯者文化身份研究對未來的翻譯研究具有一定意義。
[Abstract]:By examining the process of construction of Lin Yutang's cultural identity, this paper aims to explore the influence of cultural identity on the process of translation. Lin Yutang, a special important figure in the history of Chinese translation, devoted his life to translation practice and English writing, and made a unique contribution to the spread of Chinese culture in the West by his unique cultural identity. Lin Yutang once defined his identity as "a bundle of contradictions" in a self-deprecating tone. Based on the construction of Lin Yutang's cultural identity, this paper explores the influence of cultural identity on his translation activities. The author believes that Lin Yutang's cultural identity is a mixture of western and Chinese traditional culture. This particularity is also reflected in the changes of Lin Yutang's cultural identity with the changes of society, history and cultural context, and at the same time exerting a great influence on his translation activities, especially on his translation motivation and purpose. The choice of translation and the strategies and methods of translation have great influence. This paper is divided into four parts: The first chapter is a preface, mainly for the cultural identity and Lin Yutang cultural identity literature review. The second chapter first discusses the two stages of Lin Yutang's cultural identity construction, then divides his translation activities into three periods, and discusses in detail the influence of his cultural identity on his translation activities in different periods. The third chapter analyzes the translation of sentences and cultural words in Lin Yutang's English translation of "six chapters of floating Life", and probes into the influence of the cultural identity of Lin Yutang on its translation strategies and methods. Chapter four summarizes the influence of Lin Yutang's cultural identity construction on his translation activities and points out that the study of translator's cultural identity is of certain significance to the future translation studies.
