[Abstract]:Beijing, 2 May (Xinhua) A symposium on the 120th anniversary of Pan Tianshou's birth was held in Beijing today. Liu Yandong, member of the political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice premier of the State Council, attended the forum and spoke. Mr. Pan Tianshou is an outstanding national painter, art educator, theorist and poet in the 20th century, and one of the founders of modern Chinese painting teaching. Liu Yandong points out that Mr. Pan Tianshou's life was a life of unremitting struggle to carry forward traditional Chinese culture. Today we commemorate Mr. Pan Tianshou and remember him for the beauty of our country.
