【摘要】：大學的語文教育是基于中學語文的提高性的母語高等教育，是以人文文化知識為主要內容的人文教育核心課程，是督導大學生提高語用能力和人文修養(yǎng)的基礎課程。大學的語文教育包括通常的“大學語文”“寫作”“口才”等課程，也涉及與之相關的歷史文化類的選修課程和第二課堂活動等，旨在進一步提高大學生的語言文字運用能力，向優(yōu)雅境界邁進，發(fā)展高層次思維能力和良好思維素質，使學生獲得審美培養(yǎng)和文化熏陶，促進健全人格和提升人文精神。 雖然語言能力是我們每一個人的發(fā)展當中三種核心能力之一，然而大學生的語文能力和語文素養(yǎng)逐漸下降，也使大學語文教育遭遇到前所未有的尷尬境地，不少專家學者擔心憂慮，一些媒體也不停的奔走呼告，教育者們也在嘗試著各種探索，試圖扭轉這一窘局。大學的語文教育必須突破，大學語文課程亟待改革。如何破局，不妨借鑒他山之石。 本文就是在對大量文獻比較研究和分析的基礎上，結合實際教學經驗，對比中美兩國大學的語文教育狀況，從語文教育在中美教育體系中的定位、中美對人才核心能力認知的比較、中美對語文教育課程設置和教學方法的對比等諸方面，進行比較全面的、科學的、深層次的概述、分析和研究，從而對我國大學的語文教育的進一步研究提出了一些設想和建議，為語文高等教育教學和研究提供參考。 第一章是緒論，主要闡述大學的語文教育的內涵和研究的背景及意義。在對前人研究成果簡要分析的基礎上，概述了中美大學的語文教育的發(fā)展概況及存在的主要問題，提出了語文高等教育發(fā)展過程中需要解決的問題。 第二章分析了中美對語文教育的認識和標準，從宏觀上比較了大學的語文教育在中美教育體系中的定位，還從中美就業(yè)市場對人才選拔標準的比較來分析了中美兩國有同有異的語文教育觀的依據(jù)。 第三章重點從微觀層面探討了中美大學的語文教育課程設置和教學方法的比較研究。第一節(jié)主要進行語文閱讀教學比較，通過對比中美兩國語文閱讀教學的異同，了解美國語文閱讀教學的具體情況，借鑒國外優(yōu)秀的教學理念和教學方式，進而改善我國語文教學的現(xiàn)狀。第二節(jié)主要進行語文寫作教學比較，美國大學注重專題化、創(chuàng)造性、實用性寫作訓練，，而我國大學寫作課內容單一、注重形式、單獨學科教學，兩相比較，我國母語高等教育的弊端一目了然，而改革的目標也就已然清晰。 第四章參照美國研究型大學在通識教育領域打造語文教育核心課程的成功做法和經驗，就如何切實加強我國高校語文教育，有效提升學生的母語素養(yǎng)，提出了一些建議：一是在全社會營造重視漢語素養(yǎng)的氛圍，為高校母語教育創(chuàng)造良好的社會環(huán)境；二是高校應轉變觀念、加大投入，為語文教育做出必要的制度安排；三是向美國高校學習，切實推進“大學語文”的教學改革，積極探索提升母語能力的有效途徑，構建以“大學語文”為核心，包括寫作、口才訓練及其文藝鑒賞等課程的母語教育課程體系，強調在教學運行中重視對學生漢語口語表達和書面寫作的訓練，實現(xiàn)語文教育就是語言教學的回歸，是高校語文教育應努力實現(xiàn)的重要目標。
