【摘要】：矛盾修辭是一種看似矛盾實卻合理的語言表達方式，被大量運用于文學作品和日常會話中。目前已有學者從修辭、語義、句法、語用的角度對其進行了研究。近年來，也有學者從認知語言學的角度對其認知機制進行研究。但是，以上研究僅關注矛盾修辭的某一個方面，未能對其作出綜合性的考察，對其認知機制的闡釋也尚存不足。鑒于此，本研究基于Langacker識解理論中的視角理論，，首先提出了“視角融合”（Fusion of Perspectives），然后將其與“距離象似性原則”（Iconicity of Proximity）整合，建立了PfI模型來解釋矛盾修辭的形成機制，并對其從語義、句法、語用、語篇四個層面作出統(tǒng)一解釋。 研究發(fā)現(xiàn)，由于構成矛盾修辭的兩個對立概念分別是從兩個不同視角對同一事物進行描述的結果，所以它們并不是完全對立的。當兩個視角進行融合時，表示觀察結果的兩個對立概念也進行了相應的融合。融合不僅存在于意義層面，也存在于句法層面。意義層面的融合通過句法層面的融合來實現(xiàn)，而句法層面的融合又以意義為基礎。通過視角融合，兩個對立概念得以并列而置，從而使它們之間的強烈沖突得到突顯，表達了人物矛盾復雜的心情或體現(xiàn)了講話者的幽默與智慧。矛盾修辭通過兩個相互矛盾概念之間的強烈沖突來達到對某一事物進行觀察時的兩個視角之間的對比，進而實現(xiàn)其語篇銜接的功能。
