《莊子》虛擬疑問句的認知修辭學研究

縱觀西方修辭學史,雖然對修辭的定義層出不窮,但無外乎以下三個方面的內(nèi)容:描述修辭的本質(zhì)特征,界定其研究的范圍,明確其具有的功能(Enos2013)。從廣義的角度來說,我們可以將修辭等同于“通過符號系統(tǒng)(包括語言)傳遞的、用來影響他人決策或行為的情感和思想中所蘊含的能量”(Kennedy 200.7:7)。換句話說,每當我們使用語言或者其它符號資源來表達情感和思想以達到影響他人的目的時,我們就是在從事修辭活動。從這個意義上說,修辭可以看作是“我們作為人類存在的一部分”(Herrick 2015:6),因而是一種普遍現(xiàn)象。鑒于修辭不僅受到“人類心智的基本操作和人類社會本質(zhì)”的制約(Kennedy 1984:10),而且與“個體在所處環(huán)境中的行為和交際活動”密不可分(Oakley 2008:51),我們認為修辭與交際和認知之間存在密切的關(guān)聯(lián)。本文將以先秦道家哲學文本《莊子》一書中的修辭實踐為個案來探討修辭、交際與認知三者之間的關(guān)系。本文共分七章。第一章引言部分,介紹了本文的研究動機、研究對象、研究問題、理論基礎以及研究方法和語料。與先秦時期其它流派的思想家不同,以老子(公元前六世紀)和莊子(...
