語言是心理表征的體現(xiàn)。一些研究發(fā)現(xiàn),人們在描述不同時(shí)間距離的客體時(shí),使用的語言在抽象性上有所區(qū)別。這類針對時(shí)間距離和語言的研究均局限于心理學(xué)框架,僅用于證實(shí)解釋水平理論。本研究通過語言學(xué)研究視角,基于更多語言單位和語法特征,為時(shí)間距離和語言的關(guān)系提供進(jìn)一步的闡釋。多維分析將多項(xiàng)語言特征進(jìn)行統(tǒng)籌結(jié)合,通過語言特征的共現(xiàn)模式來提取潛在的重要語言功能維度,進(jìn)而分析不同文本的區(qū)別,為開放式研究不同心理距離情境下使用語言的區(qū)別提供了可行性。多維分析最早由Biber用于多種語體變異研究。經(jīng)過近30年的應(yīng)用和改進(jìn),多維度分析在揭示文本的語言差異上表現(xiàn)出了高度的靈活性和有效性。本研究將多為分析的應(yīng)用拓展到了心理語言學(xué)層面。本研究基于解釋水平理論框架,利用多維分析模式探究表現(xiàn)不同時(shí)間距離的英文文本之間的語言差別。旨在揭示自然語言和時(shí)間距離之間的功能關(guān)系。本研究基于紐約時(shí)報(bào)標(biāo)注語料庫,經(jīng)過因子分析總結(jié)和闡釋64個(gè)語言特征的共現(xiàn)模式,抽取了三個(gè)因子作為重要語言特征維度,分別定義為:語言低復(fù)雜度、概念抽象性和不確定性、文本邏輯性。研究分析了不同時(shí)間距離文本在以上三個(gè)維度上的差別,得出時(shí)間距離與語言復(fù)雜度,概念...
