生態(tài)語(yǔ)言學(xué)自二十世紀(jì)七十年代開(kāi)創(chuàng)以來(lái),已在國(guó)內(nèi)外語(yǔ)言學(xué)界引起廣泛關(guān)注。增強(qiáng)語(yǔ)言和文化生態(tài)的保護(hù)意識(shí)、維護(hù)語(yǔ)言文化生態(tài)系統(tǒng)的平衡,在中國(guó)建設(shè)和諧社會(huì)的新時(shí)期具有重要意義。 本文從生態(tài)語(yǔ)言學(xué)理論架構(gòu)出發(fā),以生態(tài)語(yǔ)言學(xué)中語(yǔ)言多樣性問(wèn)題為研究點(diǎn),選取荊州地區(qū)年輕人為研究對(duì)象,通過(guò)研究其語(yǔ)言態(tài)度來(lái)分析當(dāng)?shù)氐恼Z(yǔ)言生態(tài)。本研究主要采用社會(huì)語(yǔ)言學(xué)問(wèn)卷、訪(fǎng)談?wù){(diào)查等方法,以不同年齡階段的120名荊州學(xué)生為實(shí)驗(yàn)對(duì)象,通過(guò)調(diào)查研究,試圖獲得以下問(wèn)題的答案：1.荊州地區(qū)年輕人語(yǔ)言使用情況以及他們對(duì)普通話(huà)、荊州方言和英語(yǔ)的語(yǔ)言態(tài)度是怎樣的?2.如何運(yùn)用生態(tài)語(yǔ)言學(xué)原理解釋這些語(yǔ)言態(tài)度在荊州產(chǎn)生的原因,分析當(dāng)?shù)厥欠翊嬖谡Z(yǔ)言生態(tài)危機(jī)? 調(diào)查研究表明：荊州作為長(zhǎng)江沿岸的歷史文化名城,隨著經(jīng)濟(jì)的發(fā)展以及普通話(huà)的推廣,荊州年輕人在交流中更偏好使用普通話(huà)；同時(shí),英語(yǔ)作為一種世界通用語(yǔ)言,其國(guó)際交流中的重要地位促使荊州年輕人更加重視英語(yǔ)的學(xué)習(xí)和使用；而荊州方言在年輕人群體中有被弱化的趨勢(shì),在時(shí)代的劇烈變遷中,其生存和發(fā)展受到挑戰(zhàn),保護(hù)荊州地區(qū)語(yǔ)言多樣性勢(shì)在必行。
