人際功能在中英文政治演講中的對比研究

【摘要】:人際功能是韓禮德系統(tǒng)功能語法中的重要部分,在語篇中反映的是話語基調(diào),主要通過情態(tài)系統(tǒng),,語氣系統(tǒng)和人稱系統(tǒng)來體現(xiàn)。人際功能關(guān)注語篇的作者和語篇的讀者之間的互動關(guān)系、說話人是如何通過言語來表達(dá)自己的觀點(diǎn)和態(tài)度并影響聽者的態(tài)度和行為。不同的文化和社會背景使得語言在人際功能的實(shí)現(xiàn)方式是不同的。 政治演講是國家領(lǐng)導(dǎo)者或政黨的代表在公眾場合發(fā)表對國家的內(nèi)政事務(wù)和對國外的關(guān)系的立場,觀點(diǎn)和看法的重要手段,是政黨用來宣傳自己的施政綱領(lǐng),以及對外宣傳自己國家形象的一個(gè)重要工具。它們往往是精心組織的,文章的結(jié)構(gòu)和選詞常常有一定的特色。通過對中英文政治語篇的人際功能研究,可以發(fā)現(xiàn)演講者是怎樣用語言來實(shí)現(xiàn)自己演講目的和以及權(quán)利的運(yùn)用的,同時(shí)在演說中如何建立相應(yīng)的人際角色。 本文嘗試將系統(tǒng)功能語法的人際功能理論應(yīng)用到政治語篇的分析中,以中美兩國最高領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人在5種不同場合所做的10次演講為語料(演講所涉及的領(lǐng)域包括教育、新年致辭、經(jīng)濟(jì)和對外關(guān)系)。通過統(tǒng)計(jì)這10篇演講稿中的語氣、情態(tài)和人稱代詞的使用情況,分析人際功能在中英文政治演講中的實(shí)現(xiàn)手段的差別,從而探討中美兩國首腦如何通過語言來行使自己的職權(quán)并達(dá)到演講的目的。 研究表明,在情態(tài)系統(tǒng)中,英語政治演講情態(tài)詞的出現(xiàn)頻率要高于在中文政治演講的出現(xiàn)頻率,英語演講者更傾向于用情態(tài)詞用來表達(dá)自己的決心、目的和態(tài)度;中英文演講都傾向用高情態(tài)值的情態(tài)詞。在語氣系統(tǒng)方面,英文語氣類型的使用種類相比中文演講要更加豐富,表現(xiàn)在英文演講會采用陳述、疑問和祈使這三種語氣,而中文演講則傾向于對陳述和祈使語氣的使用。在人稱系統(tǒng)中,英文的人稱代詞使用數(shù)量要超過同類型的中文語篇,在人稱代詞類型的使用上也比中文語篇中更加多樣。綜合上述三方面,英語的政治演講在人際功能實(shí)現(xiàn)的方法上更加豐富多樣并富于變化。
[Abstract]:Interpersonal function is an important part of the functional grammar of Halliday system, which reflects the discourse tone in the discourse, mainly through the modal system, the mood system and the person system. Interpersonal function focuses on the interaction between the author of the text and the reader of the text, and how the speaker expresses his views and attitudes through words and influences the attitude and behavior of the listener. Different cultural and social backgrounds make the realization of language in interpersonal function different. Political speeches are important means by which political leaders or representatives of political parties speak in public about the internal affairs of the country and its relations with foreign countries, and are used by political parties to publicize their own political agendas. And an important tool for publicizing the image of his country. They are often carefully organized, and the structure and choice of words often have certain characteristics. By studying the interpersonal functions of Chinese and English political discourses, we can find out how the speakers use language to realize their own purpose and use of their rights, and at the same time, how to establish the corresponding interpersonal roles in their speeches. This paper attempts to apply the interpersonal function theory of systemic functional grammar to the analysis of political discourse, using 10 speeches made by the top leaders of China and the United States on 5 different occasions. Economy and external relations) Based on the statistics of the mood, modality and personal pronouns in the ten speeches, the differences of interpersonal functions in Chinese and English political speeches are analyzed. To explore how Chinese and American heads of state to use their language to exercise their authority and achieve the purpose of the speech. The results show that in the modal system, the frequency of modal words in English political speech is higher than that in Chinese political speech, and English speakers are more inclined to use modal words to express their determination, purpose and attitude. Both Chinese and English speakers tend to use modal words with high modal values. In the aspect of mood system, the use of English mood type is more abundant than that of Chinese speech, which is manifested in that English speech adopts three kinds of tone: statement, doubt and imperative, while Chinese speech tends to use statement and imperative tone. In the personal system, the number of personal pronouns used in English is higher than that in Chinese texts of the same type, and the use of personal pronouns is more diverse than that in Chinese discourses. Combined with the above three aspects, the political speech in English is more diverse and varied in the methods of interpersonal function realization.
