【摘要】：美國(guó)國(guó)情咨文和中國(guó)政府工作報(bào)告均為重要的政府文件,分別是美國(guó)總統(tǒng)和中國(guó)總理作的年度報(bào)告,闡述政府的施政方針。兩份文件的發(fā)布均在國(guó)際上有重大影響,各國(guó)專家也經(jīng)常從多個(gè)方面對(duì)兩份文件進(jìn)行比較研究。 自從1976年韓禮德和哈森首次提出銜接理論以來(lái),銜接理論已經(jīng)成為語(yǔ)篇分析中研究最為廣泛的領(lǐng)域之一。本文以韓禮德和哈森的銜接理論建構(gòu)分析框架為基礎(chǔ),以美國(guó)國(guó)情咨文(1997-2013)與中國(guó)政府工作報(bào)告(2006-2013)為研究對(duì)象,對(duì)語(yǔ)法銜接的使用進(jìn)行對(duì)比分析。本文首先建立起美國(guó)國(guó)情咨文和中國(guó)政府工作報(bào)告兩個(gè)語(yǔ)料庫(kù),總字?jǐn)?shù)分別為100727字和99105字,然后運(yùn)行Antconc程序來(lái)計(jì)算各類語(yǔ)法銜接的頻率。本文用SPSS軟件證明美國(guó)國(guó)情咨文與中國(guó)政府工作報(bào)告語(yǔ)法銜接的使用是否有顯著差異,并對(duì)可能造成這些差異的原因進(jìn)行初步探索。 通過(guò)對(duì)比兩個(gè)語(yǔ)料庫(kù),本文發(fā)現(xiàn)在銜接手段中,兩個(gè)語(yǔ)料庫(kù)在語(yǔ)法銜接和不同類別的語(yǔ)法銜接的使用上均存在顯著差異。在各類語(yǔ)法銜接手段中,中國(guó)政府報(bào)告使用的連詞顯著高于美國(guó)國(guó)情咨文,使用的照應(yīng),替代和省略均顯著低于美國(guó)國(guó)情咨文。這說(shuō)明了中國(guó)政府工作報(bào)告正式與準(zhǔn)確的特點(diǎn)。本文的研究結(jié)果一方面有利于加深英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)者對(duì)美國(guó)國(guó)情咨文與中國(guó)政府工作報(bào)告的理解,另一方面可為我國(guó)政府工作報(bào)告的漢英翻譯提供借鑒與參考,從而使政府工作報(bào)告的英譯更易為外國(guó)受眾理解。
[Abstract]:The State of the Union address and the report on the work of the Chinese government are important government documents. They are annual reports by the President of the United States and the Premier of China, respectively, setting out the government's policy objectives. The publication of both documents has a major impact on the international community, and experts from various countries often conduct comparative studies of the two documents from a variety of aspects. Since Halliday and Hansen first proposed cohesion theory in 1976, cohesion theory has become one of the most widely studied fields in discourse analysis. On the basis of Halliday and Hansen's cohesion theory construction analysis framework, this paper makes a contrastive analysis of the use of grammatical cohesion with the US State of the Union address (1997-2013) and the Chinese Government work report (2006-2013). In this paper, two corpora, the State of the Union address of the United States of America and the Chinese Government work report, are established. The total number of words is 100727 words and 99105 words, respectively. Then the Antconc program is used to calculate the frequency of grammatical cohesion. This paper uses SPSS software to prove whether there are significant differences in the use of grammatical cohesion between the US State of the Union address and the Chinese government work report, and to explore the possible causes of these differences. By comparing the two corpora, it is found that there are significant differences in the use of grammatical cohesion and different types of grammatical cohesion between the two corpora. Among the various grammatical cohesion devices, the Chinese government reports using significantly higher conjunctions than the US State of the Union address, and uses less anaphora, substitution and ellipsis than the US State of the Union address. This illustrates the official and accurate characteristics of the Chinese government work report. On the one hand, the findings of this paper will help English learners to understand the American State of the Union address and the Chinese Government's work report, and on the other hand, it will provide a reference for the Chinese-English translation of the Chinese Government's work report. So that the translation of government work reports into English is easier for foreign audiences to understand.
