信息論視角下林譯《浮生六記》翻譯策略研究

【摘要】:當(dāng)今世界已經(jīng)進(jìn)入全球化時代,各國的文化交流日益頻繁,在外國文化進(jìn)入中國文化的同時,中國也應(yīng)積極地翻譯并傳播燦爛的中國文化。因此,加強(qiáng)中國文化的對外交流是時代的一個重大課題。 林語堂英譯的《浮生六記》是中國古典文學(xué)作品譯介的成功案例。本文以信息論為理論依據(jù),分析了林語堂英譯《浮生六記》所采取的翻譯策略,以期給中國譯者譯介中國文學(xué)作品些許啟發(fā)。 本文分四章對研究問題進(jìn)行了論述:第一章介紹了本論文的研究背景、動機(jī)、目的、研究問題、方法和論文的結(jié)構(gòu)。第二章為文獻(xiàn)綜述,對林譯《浮生六記》和信息論的相關(guān)研究進(jìn)行了回顧,并介紹了本論文的理論基礎(chǔ)及該理論在翻譯中的應(yīng)用。第三章首先介紹了原文和作者,以及譯者林語堂,然后對譯本進(jìn)行具體分析研究,從信息論的角度解釋了林譯《浮生六記》的翻譯策略。第四章指出了本研究的發(fā)現(xiàn)、局限以及進(jìn)一步研究的建議。 本文的主要發(fā)現(xiàn)和結(jié)論有:(1)信息論為解釋文學(xué)翻譯中的翻譯策略提供了一個全新的視角。信息論研究信息的發(fā)送,處理,加工和傳遞。通過合理的調(diào)節(jié)冗余能夠克服來自于傳播系統(tǒng)內(nèi)部和外部的噪音,從而達(dá)到信息的準(zhǔn)確傳遞。翻譯是一種復(fù)雜的信息傳遞活動。在翻譯過程中,由于語言和文化的差異而引起的噪音,作者需要通過采取合適的翻譯策略來克服,以便適合目的語讀者的閱讀能力,從而達(dá)到原語信息的有效傳遞。(2)林語堂采取直譯策略時,依據(jù)信息理論,其主要目的是要保留冗余信息;林語堂采取減譯策略時,,主要目的是減少冗余信息;解壓縮性就是增加冗余信息,可以很好地解釋林語堂的增譯策略;信息離散性是指信息的偏離和損耗,可以較好地解釋林譯的轉(zhuǎn)換策略和解釋策略。 林譯《浮生六記》給我們的啟示是,在中國作品外譯過程中,譯者要靈活運(yùn)用翻譯策略,合理地調(diào)節(jié)冗余信息,只有這樣才能取得理想的傳播效果。
[Abstract]:Nowadays, the world has entered the era of globalization, and cultural exchanges between countries are becoming more and more frequent. While foreign cultures enter Chinese culture, China should also actively translate and spread brilliant Chinese culture. Therefore, strengthening the foreign exchange of Chinese culture is an important subject of the times. Lin Yutang's six stories of floating Life is a successful example of the translation and introduction of Chinese classical literature. Based on the theory of information theory, this paper analyzes the translation strategies adopted by Lin Yutang in his translation of "six stories of floating Life" in order to enlighten Chinese translators in their translation of Chinese literary works. This paper is divided into four chapters: the first chapter introduces the research background, motivation, purpose, research problems, methods and the structure of the paper. Chapter two is a literature review, which reviews the relevant studies on the translation of "six chapters of plankton" and information theory, and introduces the theoretical basis of this thesis and its application in translation. Chapter three first introduces the original text and author, as well as the translator Lin Yutang, and then makes a detailed analysis of the translation, and then explains the translation strategy of Lin's translation of "six chapters of floating Life" from the perspective of information theory. The fourth chapter points out the findings, limitations and suggestions for further study. The main findings and conclusions of this paper are as follows: (1) Information theory provides a new perspective for the interpretation of translation strategies in literary translation. Information theory studies the transmission, processing, processing and transmission of information. The internal and external noise from the communication system can be overcome by adjusting the redundancy reasonably, so that the accurate transmission of information can be achieved. Translation is a complex information transfer activity. In the process of translation, the noise caused by linguistic and cultural differences needs to be overcome by adopting appropriate translation strategies in order to suit the reading ability of the target language readers. Therefore, when Lin Yutang adopts literal translation strategy, its main purpose is to retain redundant information, while Lin Yutang adopts translation reduction strategy to reduce redundant information. Decompression is the addition of redundant information, which can explain the increasing translation strategy of Lin Yutang, and the information dispersion refers to the deviation and loss of information, which can better explain the conversion strategy and interpretation strategy of forest translation. The revelation to us from "six stories of floating Life" is that in the process of translation of Chinese works, translators should use translation strategies flexibly and adjust redundant information reasonably. Only in this way can we achieve an ideal communication effect.
