【摘要】：隱喻在傳統(tǒng)意義上僅僅是一種修辭手段，，人們對(duì)隱喻的研究也只局限在詞匯、短語和句法層面。20世紀(jì)80年代，由Lakoff和Johnson合著的MetaphorsWe Live By一書的問世，標(biāo)志著隱喻的研究從語言層面向認(rèn)知層面的轉(zhuǎn)變。隱喻不僅是修辭格，也是一種思維方式，人們認(rèn)知世界的過程是建立在大量概念隱喻基礎(chǔ)之上的。隨著研究的深入，學(xué)者們開始從語篇層面研究隱喻.其中，多數(shù)研究都集中在隱喻銜接功能方面，而對(duì)其連貫功能的研究還為數(shù)不多。隱喻不僅是一種修辭格，一種認(rèn)知方式，更是語篇連貫的重要基礎(chǔ)。本文擬采用認(rèn)知語言學(xué)的成果之一的概念隱喻理論，來研究隱喻是如何在構(gòu)建語篇連貫的過程中發(fā)揮作用的。 本文從萊考夫與約翰遜的隱喻連貫類型展開，結(jié)合有關(guān)語篇分析的基本分別討論了單個(gè)以及多個(gè)概念隱喻是如何構(gòu)建語篇連貫的。其過程如下：本文首先論證了概念隱喻通過其系統(tǒng)性和共有蘊(yùn)含實(shí)現(xiàn)其本身或者之間的連貫；其次證明位于概念隱喻表層的隱喻表達(dá)式也因之連貫；最后證明由隱喻表達(dá)式的語篇亦是連貫的。文章的結(jié)論是：概念隱喻在構(gòu)建語篇連貫過程中發(fā)揮著重要作用。
[Abstract]:Metaphor is only a rhetorical device in the traditional sense, and the study of metaphor is confined to the lexical, phrasal and syntactic levels. In the 1980s, MetaphorsWe Live by, co-authored by Lakoff and Johnson, was published. It marks the transition from linguistic level to cognitive level in the study of metaphor. Metaphor is not only a figure of speech, but also a way of thinking. The process of people's cognition of the world is based on a large number of conceptual metaphors. With the deepening of the study, scholars begin to study metaphor at the discourse level. Most of the studies focus on metaphorical cohesion, but few on its coherence. Metaphor is not only a figure of speech, a cognitive style, but also an important basis for discourse coherence. This thesis intends to use the conceptual metaphor theory, one of the achievements of cognitive linguistics, to study how metaphor plays a role in the construction of discourse coherence. This thesis is based on Lakoff and Johnson's types of metaphorical coherence. This paper discusses how individual and multiple conceptual metaphors construct discourse coherence. The process is as follows: firstly, the thesis proves that conceptual metaphor realizes coherence by its systematization and mutual implication, and then proves that the metaphorical expressions located on the surface of conceptual metaphor are coherent, and that the metaphorical expressions on the surface of conceptual metaphors are coherent. Finally, it is proved that the discourse with metaphorical expressions is also coherent. The conclusion is that conceptual metaphor plays an important role in the process of discourse coherence.
