【摘要】：糾正言語行為，與主張合作、維持禮貌的社會目標相反，本質上是一種面子威脅行為。本文從禮貌以及跨文化交際的角度出發(fā)，研究中美大學生關于糾正策略的選擇和使用傾向。 調查采用口語語篇填充測試問卷的形式，，共十個問題，包含了社會變量如社會距離、社會地位、行為的難易程度，個人變量如性別、年齡。在參與本次調查的60名受試者中，有三十名中國籍漢語母語者，以及三十名美籍英語母語者，均為年齡在十八到三十歲之間的在校大學生。 在參與者的所有回答中，作者歸納了二十一種糾正策略，分為四種直接糾正策略，十六種間接糾正策略，以及一種不作為策略。結果表明兩種語言之間的糾正策略既存在著共性也存在差異。第一，在兩種語言中，糾正言語行為均一般由起始語、中心行為語、輔助說明語組成，其中中心行為語為不可缺少部分。第二，中美大學生均大規(guī)模采用了間接糾正言語行為以及表示質疑、解釋和緩和語氣的策略。美大學生使用間接策略的頻率高于中國大學生。第三，社會因素如社會距離、社會權利、行為的難易程度以及個人因素如性別、年齡都對糾正策略的選擇有影響。其中，社會距離，社會權利對美國大學生影響更大，而性別差異對中國大學生影響更大。 這些特點展現(xiàn)了糾正言語行為的特征，也部分支持了文化變異的論點。
