紐馬克文本功能視域下應(yīng)用翻譯策略導(dǎo)向探微

【摘要】:應(yīng)用翻譯是一種以傳遞信息為主要目的,又注重信息的傳遞效果的實用型翻譯,它實用性強,應(yīng)用面廣,其體裁范圍幾乎涵蓋當(dāng)今政治、經(jīng)濟(jì)、社會、文化生活的各個領(lǐng)域,大多具有現(xiàn)實的甚至功利的目的,不同于強調(diào)藝術(shù)審美與文學(xué)欣賞的文學(xué)翻譯。然而,中西方在文化、意識形態(tài)和語言方面所存在的巨大的差異,給應(yīng)用文本翻譯工作帶來了極大的困難和挑戰(zhàn),因此,應(yīng)用文本的誤譯在目前國內(nèi)的出版物和媒體上屢見不鮮。顯然,我國對應(yīng)用翻譯的理論研究遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)未能滿足社會的需求,應(yīng)用文本的翻譯研究尚未得到充分的發(fā)展,迫切的需要全面而有效的理論系統(tǒng)加以指導(dǎo)。 根據(jù)紐馬克的文本功能理論,應(yīng)用翻譯涵蓋的文本功能類型包括表達(dá)型文本(如官方通告)、信息型文本(如科技文本)以及呼喚型文本(如廣告等)。紐馬克指出,不同功能的文本,翻譯時采用的策略也有所差異。影響翻譯策略的因素有很多,包括翻譯目的、作者意圖、讀者接受等等。由于其特殊的文本功能和特點,應(yīng)用翻譯應(yīng)注重翻譯過程中的交際互動,要根據(jù)翻譯要求謀篇布局、根據(jù)文本功能實施翻譯策略、根據(jù)的語文化情景重構(gòu)文本內(nèi)容,以有效實現(xiàn)翻譯目的。因此,處理應(yīng)用翻譯時,翻譯策略采用異化為主還是歸化為主主要由文本功能決定。 本文基于紐馬克的翻譯理論(主要指文本分類說和兩大翻譯法)提出文本功能對應(yīng)用翻譯的策略和方法選擇具有指導(dǎo)性意義。通過分析應(yīng)用翻譯的特征以及探究紐馬克的文本功能理論,本文結(jié)合了大量不同類型的應(yīng)用翻譯文本的翻譯實例,如歸屬“表達(dá)型”文本的時政翻譯、“信息型文本”的科技翻譯以及“呼喚型”文本的旅游翻譯和廣告翻譯等,深入探討了不同文本功能的翻譯策略和方法;趯~馬克提出的文本功能的翻譯方法的分析,結(jié)合異化和歸化翻譯策略的應(yīng)用,本文分析了各類應(yīng)用翻譯文本的翻譯策略導(dǎo)向,論證得出文本功能與翻譯策略之間確實存在一種內(nèi)在聯(lián)系和規(guī)律性,文本功能對應(yīng)用翻譯策略的選擇具有主導(dǎo)作用。
[Abstract]:Applied translation is a kind of practical translation with the main purpose of transmitting information and paying attention to the effect of information transmission. It has strong practicability and wide application, and its genres almost cover politics, economy and society. Most of the fields of cultural life have realistic and even utilitarian purposes, which are different from literary translation which emphasizes artistic aesthetics and literary appreciation. However, Chinese and Western cultures are in culture. The huge differences in ideology and language bring great difficulties and challenges to the application of text translation. The mistranslation of applied texts is common in domestic publications and media. Obviously, the theoretical research on applied translation in China is far from meeting the needs of the society. Translation studies of applied texts have not yet been fully developed, and a comprehensive and effective theoretical system is urgently needed to guide them. According to Newmark's text function theory, the types of text functions covered by application translation include expressive text (such as official announcement). Informational texts (such as technical texts) and calling texts (such as advertisements, etc.) point out that different functional texts have different translation strategies. There are many factors that affect translation strategies. Due to its special function and characteristics of the text, the application of translation should pay attention to the communicative interaction in the process of translation, and it should be arranged according to the translation requirements. According to the function of the text, the translation strategy is implemented, and the content of the text is reconstructed according to the cultural situation in order to achieve the purpose of translation effectively. Whether foreignization or domestication is the main strategy of translation is mainly determined by text function. This paper is based on Newmark's translation theory (mainly referring to text categorization and two translation methods). This paper proposes that text function is of guiding significance to the choice of strategies and methods of applied translation. By analyzing the characteristics of applied translation and exploring Newmark's theory of text function. This paper combines a large number of translation examples of different types of translated texts, such as the current political translation of "expressive" texts. The scientific and technological translation of "informational text" and the tourism translation and advertising translation of "calling text". This paper probes into the translation strategies and methods of different text functions. Based on the analysis of the translation methods proposed by Newmark, the paper combines the application of foreignization and domestication translation strategies. This paper analyzes the translation strategy orientation of all kinds of applied translation texts, and concludes that there is a kind of inherent relation and regularity between text function and translation strategy. Text function plays a leading role in the choice of applied translation strategies.
