身份建構(gòu)問題一直是哲學(xué)、語言學(xué)、社會(huì)學(xué)、心理學(xué)等不同學(xué)科的研究熱點(diǎn)。其研究對(duì)象以政治家、作者、教師的身份建構(gòu)較多,對(duì)日常會(huì)話中的個(gè)人身份建構(gòu)較少。《老友記》是美國(guó)著名的情景喜劇,對(duì)話日常而幽默,六個(gè)主人公中Rachel最引人關(guān)注,雖然家境顯赫,父母為她安排了完美的婚姻,但逃婚后自斷經(jīng)濟(jì)來源,從咖啡廳服務(wù)員做起,最后提升為服裝行業(yè)經(jīng)理,整部劇可以說是Rachel的個(gè)人奮斗史。她與不同社會(huì)關(guān)系間的對(duì)話有不同的特點(diǎn)。根據(jù)系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)理論,語言具有三大元功能:概念功能、人際功能和語篇功能,目前廣泛用于各類研究。本文擬從系統(tǒng)功能語言學(xué)視角,通過對(duì)及物性、語氣和情態(tài)系統(tǒng)的分析,研究《老友記》主人公Rachel在與老板、戀人和朋友這三種不同社會(huì)關(guān)系的會(huì)話中的身份建構(gòu),探討身份建構(gòu)與語言的關(guān)系。研究采用了定量與定性結(jié)合的方法,從十季中選取語料,通過人工標(biāo)記統(tǒng)計(jì)數(shù)據(jù)。本研究發(fā)現(xiàn),Rachel在不同的社會(huì)關(guān)系中建構(gòu)了多重身份,并且在不同方面都有所體現(xiàn):第一,與老板的對(duì)話中,她建構(gòu)了坦誠(chéng)而尊敬的下屬和支持者的身份,主要體現(xiàn)在語氣和情態(tài)上,語氣類型以陳述句為主,少使用祈使句,給予老板的大多是理想化的回應(yīng),且...
