公共外交已經(jīng)成為一個(gè)國家對外政策的重要部分。美國在這領(lǐng)域積累了豐富的理論和實(shí)踐。其公共外交范圍廣泛,包括電影。電影作為一種能影響人們意見和行為的傳播媒介,是開展公共外交的有效方式。好萊塢作為美國電影業(yè)界的代表,長期以來與華盛頓保持良好的關(guān)系,成為美國在世界上的“觀念大使”,推動美國的公共外交。鑒于艾森豪威爾總統(tǒng)時(shí)期與蘇聯(lián)簽訂文化交流協(xié)議,打破了二戰(zhàn)后美蘇長期以來電影交流中斷的僵局,本文以艾森豪威爾總統(tǒng)時(shí)期為例,探討好萊塢如何推動美國在蘇聯(lián)的公共外交,并選取兩部電影——《羅馬假日》和《老人與�！穪砭唧w分析。本文最終得出好萊塢電影在美國公共外交中有積極的作用,中國可以從中汲取經(jīng)驗(yàn)來開展公共外交。本文選用的研究方式包括歷史分析以及案例分析。
