[Abstract]:Compared with other important media of cross-cultural communication, film is more intuitive and can establish a cultural communication directly and effectively. Films use the most intuitive form of expression across the boundaries of countries and nations to convey information to audiences with different cultural backgrounds and establish exchanges; Full of vitality and charm of the film art through high-tech preservation, will also be a lasting new culture to carry and continue, with the world's attention to the 2008 Olympic Games. Kung Fu Panda, the first of its kind with giant pandas and Chinese kungfu as the main story line, was released globally in June, along with martial arts as a special Olympic event for the first time. Kung Fu Panda has set off an unstoppable craze of Chinese Kung Fu around the world and has made excellent box office sales. In 2011, DreamWorks launched Kung Fu Panda 2 with the 3D craze in the film industry. The global box office exceeds $600 million. "Kung Fu Panda" is Hollywood's perfect reference and application of Chinese culture, through the discovery and transformation of the essence of Chinese culture. It is a successful example of the interpretation of Chinese culture. Hollywood follows the principles of commercialization and entertainment to choose cultural texts that can be translated into commercial values. The universal value is the first quality of these texts. Kung Fu Panda borrows "Hero" from a pile of museum materials from ancient Chinese architecture, scenery, totem and folk customs. Part of the kung fu scene in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" portrays a seemingly Chinese humanistic landscape. The Chinese elements commonly used in Hollywood movies include three types: realistic scenes and cultural symbols. Since 90s, Chinese action directors Wu Yusen, Hark, Yuan Peace and Kung Fu superstars Jackie Chan, Li Lianjie and Yang Ziqiong have become spokesmen of Chinese kungfu and culture in Hollywood. The sound effect of Chinese style is accompanied by fierce martial arts plot in the artistic conception of ink painting. In 2008, the King of Kung Fu and "Kung Fu Panda", 2012 "Kung Fu Panda" 2 continued to set off a global hit. Hollywood films like to use symbols and symbols of Chinese culture, such as kung fu, traditional Chinese medicine, clothing, diet, totem and so on. These cultural elements applied in strange countries and distant legends add a hint of mystery to the film. Chinese cultural values and cultural spirit are the national wisdom of China. The Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism used in Kung Fu Panda is an important part of the unique value system of the Chinese nation. This paper is divided into four chapters. The first chapter analyzes the interpretation of Hollywood movies to the oriental culture. The cultural background of Kung Fu Panda (Kung Fu Panda) is further analyzed by comparing the interpretations of Japanese culture and Indian culture in Hollywood movies. Chapter two analyzes the Chinese cultural elements of Kung Fu Panda 1 / 2. The third chapter discusses the important role of cultural identity in the cross-cultural communication of Kung Fu Panda, and concludes the reasons for the success of Kung Fu Panda. Research methods: Text analysis: from the surface layer of Kung Fu Panda to the deep layer of the text, study the rich cultural connotation and deep meaning behind the appearance of Kung Fu Panda. To interpret the possibility of globalization. Case Analysis: this paper takes Kung Fu Panda as a case study. Comparative Analysis: in the first chapter, by contrasting the Japanese films and the Indian films in the oriental elements, the Kung Fu Panda gives prominence to the interpretation of Chinese culture.
