英語(yǔ)碩士論文文獻(xiàn)綜述部分轉(zhuǎn)述動(dòng)詞使用的語(yǔ)料庫(kù)研究

【摘要】:眾所周知,轉(zhuǎn)述在學(xué)術(shù)語(yǔ)篇,尤其是文獻(xiàn)綜述部分,發(fā)揮著極其重要的作用。在學(xué)術(shù)語(yǔ)篇中,論述應(yīng)清楚、詳盡,并能有力地展現(xiàn)學(xué)術(shù)主張。通過(guò)引述他人的觀點(diǎn),我們可以弄清楚當(dāng)前研究的背景,找出在此之前,人們都做了哪些相關(guān)研究,從而為自己的立場(chǎng)尋求支持,增強(qiáng)論述的說(shuō)服力;蚴侵赋鱿惹把芯抗ぷ鞯牟蛔阒,進(jìn)而為自己的研究奠定廣泛的、可靠的基礎(chǔ)。 轉(zhuǎn)述在學(xué)術(shù)語(yǔ)篇中的重要性,引起了語(yǔ)言學(xué)家的廣泛關(guān)注。他們對(duì)轉(zhuǎn)述動(dòng)詞在學(xué)術(shù)語(yǔ)篇中的使用情況進(jìn)行了大量的研究,有些研究關(guān)注的是轉(zhuǎn)述在英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)者中的使用情況,如英語(yǔ)專業(yè)本科生和碩士研究生,而有些則著重分析其在英語(yǔ)本族語(yǔ)者中的使用情況,如英語(yǔ)國(guó)家的大學(xué)本科生和語(yǔ)言學(xué)家。但是不難發(fā)現(xiàn),這些研究大都選取整篇論文,或是引言部分和總結(jié)部分為研究對(duì)象,鮮少有研究者關(guān)注文獻(xiàn)綜述部分轉(zhuǎn)述動(dòng)詞的分布情況。因此,在目的論和轉(zhuǎn)述語(yǔ)相關(guān)理論的指導(dǎo)下,本研究選取中國(guó)英語(yǔ)專業(yè)學(xué)生碩士論文中的文獻(xiàn)綜述部分作為其分析文本,并將其與外國(guó)作家所寫的學(xué)術(shù)論文進(jìn)行對(duì)比分析。 鑒于此,作者從中國(guó)知網(wǎng)上隨機(jī)選取了35篇碩士論文,并節(jié)選其文獻(xiàn)綜述部分建成觀察語(yǔ)料庫(kù),這些論文都是太原理工大學(xué)外國(guó)語(yǔ)學(xué)院外國(guó)語(yǔ)言學(xué)及應(yīng)用語(yǔ)言學(xué)專業(yè)研究生所寫。同時(shí),還從Elsevier Science Direct下載了200篇英語(yǔ)本族語(yǔ)者寫的學(xué)術(shù)論文,同樣節(jié)選文獻(xiàn)綜述部分建成參照語(yǔ)料庫(kù),這些論文都來(lái)自國(guó)際知名英語(yǔ)期刊,如English for Specific Purposes, Teaching and Teacher Education, Journal of English for Academic Purposes, Journal of Second Language Writing。此外,本研究所選論文都是有關(guān)外語(yǔ)教學(xué)的。 通過(guò)對(duì)兩個(gè)語(yǔ)料庫(kù)的對(duì)比分析,本研究旨在回答下面兩個(gè)問(wèn)題: 1)英語(yǔ)專業(yè)研究生所寫的學(xué)位論文中,轉(zhuǎn)述動(dòng)詞,轉(zhuǎn)述形式和轉(zhuǎn)述動(dòng)詞的時(shí)態(tài)各有什么特點(diǎn)? 2)中國(guó)學(xué)生和英語(yǔ)本族語(yǔ)者在轉(zhuǎn)述動(dòng)詞的使用方面存在哪些異同? 研究結(jié)果表明,在轉(zhuǎn)述時(shí),為了回顧相關(guān)文獻(xiàn),對(duì)先前的研究做出評(píng)價(jià)性總結(jié)并將前人的研究與自己的研究相結(jié)合,中國(guó)學(xué)生和本族語(yǔ)者都使用了大量的轉(zhuǎn)述動(dòng)詞和不同的轉(zhuǎn)述形式,同時(shí),在兩個(gè)語(yǔ)料庫(kù)中轉(zhuǎn)述動(dòng)詞的時(shí)態(tài)也具有多樣性。但是雙方在轉(zhuǎn)述語(yǔ)的具體使用方面存在著許多異同:1)轉(zhuǎn)述動(dòng)詞在觀察語(yǔ)料庫(kù)和參照語(yǔ)料庫(kù)中分別占總字?jǐn)?shù)的1.42%和1.46%,這表明中國(guó)學(xué)生已經(jīng)意識(shí)到了轉(zhuǎn)述的重要性;2)在轉(zhuǎn)述中,中國(guó)學(xué)生更傾向于選擇語(yǔ)篇?jiǎng)釉~和研究動(dòng)詞,較少選擇認(rèn)知?jiǎng)釉~:3)一些語(yǔ)篇?jiǎng)釉~在兩個(gè)語(yǔ)料庫(kù)中的使用情況很不相同,例如:hold, conclude, describe在碩士論文中出現(xiàn)的頻率較高,而本族語(yǔ)者則更多選擇suggest, argue, note;4)描述研究過(guò)程的研究動(dòng)詞更多地出現(xiàn)在碩士論文中,這說(shuō)明中國(guó)學(xué)生更加關(guān)注前人所做的研究工作;5)雖然認(rèn)知?jiǎng)釉~在兩組學(xué)術(shù)語(yǔ)篇中都是使用最少的,但其在兩個(gè)語(yǔ)料庫(kù)中的使用情況很不相同;6)與本族語(yǔ)者相比,中國(guó)學(xué)生使用較多的積極動(dòng)詞,而消極動(dòng)詞的使用頻率則較低;7)在轉(zhuǎn)述形式方面,中國(guó)學(xué)生的轉(zhuǎn)述方式比較單一,他們更多地選擇嵌入式的轉(zhuǎn)述方式,并且多以被轉(zhuǎn)述者作為句子的主語(yǔ);8)在英語(yǔ)專業(yè)學(xué)生所寫的論文中,轉(zhuǎn)述動(dòng)詞多以一般過(guò)去式的形式出現(xiàn)。 基于以上研究結(jié)果,作者對(duì)英語(yǔ)學(xué)術(shù)論文寫作教學(xué)提出了四點(diǎn)建議:提高學(xué)生對(duì)學(xué)術(shù)論文寫作的認(rèn)識(shí);提高學(xué)生的轉(zhuǎn)述意識(shí),講解轉(zhuǎn)述的相關(guān)知識(shí);提供大量的轉(zhuǎn)述動(dòng)詞并舉例,同時(shí)加強(qiáng)關(guān)于轉(zhuǎn)述的寫作練習(xí);鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生在平時(shí)的學(xué)習(xí)中主動(dòng)積累一些轉(zhuǎn)述動(dòng)詞和轉(zhuǎn)述方式。
[Abstract]:It is well known that the transfer plays a very important role in the academic discourse, especially in the literature review. In the academic discourse, the discussion should be clear, detailed, and able to present the academic ideas. By quoting other people's point of view, we can find out the background of the current research, and find out which relevant research has been done before, so as to seek support for their position and to enhance the argument of the discussion. Or point out the shortcomings of previous research work, thus laying a broad and reliable foundation for his research. The importance of the restatement in the discourse of the academic language has brought about a wide range of linguists. Pay attention to. They have studied the use of the verb in the academic discourse, and some of them are concerned about the use of the said verb in the English learners, such as the English major and the master's postgraduates, while others focus on the use of them in the English native language. a case, such as a college student and a language in an English country. But it's not hard to find that most of these studies have selected the whole paper, or the introduction part and the summary part are the research objects, and few researchers are concerned about the distribution of the verb in the literature review part Therefore, under the guidance of the theory of teleology and restatement, this study selected the literature review part of the Chinese English major's master's thesis as its analysis text and compared it with the academic papers written by foreign writers. In view of this, the author randomly selected 35 master's papers from China's knowledge network, and selected its literature review part to build an observation corpus, which is a foreign language and applied linguistics of the Foreign Language Institute of Taiyuan University of Technology. At the same time, 200 English native speakers have been downloaded from Elsevier Science Direct, and the same section of the literature review is a reference corpus, all of which are from international well-known English journals, such as English for Specific Purposers, Tagging and Teacher Education, Journal of English for Academic Purpose, Journal of Second Language Wr in addition, that selecte papers of the institute are relevant Through the comparative analysis of two corpora, the purpose of this study is to Answer the following two questions: 1) In the degree paper written by the graduate student of the English major, the verb, the form of the transfer and the transfer what are the characteristics of the tense of the verb? The results of the study show that, in order to review the relevant literature, to review the relevant literature, to make a summary of the previous research and to combine the previous research with its own research, the Chinese students and the native speakers have used a great deal. an amount of restated verb and a different form of rotation, at the same time, in two The verb's tense in the corpus also has diversity.
