應用語言學碩士學位論文引言的語類對比分析

【摘要】:體裁分析理論作為一門新興的語篇分析理論,已經(jīng)受到學術界一直關注。在應用語言學界,該研究方法的焦點在于對學術語篇的分析。在學術語篇的各個語類中,引言部分作為文章的開局,起到了開啟全篇,引領讀者的諸多作用,在學術寫作中是極其重要而又困難棘手的,然而學者們對該領域的跨語言對比研究相對不足,尤其是對篇幅較長,結構較為復雜的碩士論文引言的研究。 本文的研究方法是基于體裁分析理論的實證研究。研究語料分別來源于CNKI和ProQuest的應用語言學方向碩士論文,共計90篇(加拿大作者45篇;中國作者45篇)。以CARS模式為主要理論框架對其引言部分的宏觀結構進行定量分析。研究結果同時發(fā)現(xiàn),不同文化背景下的作者在寫作上存在一定的差異:(1)與中國作者相比,加拿大作者更傾向于使用信息標題。(2)比起Move 2,兩類作者更多的使用了Move 1和Move 3;盡管M1-M2-M3仍是兩庫的主要分布序列,但是也出現(xiàn)了其他的序列的變體,如M3-M2-M1和M1-M3-M2;加拿大作者引言語步的平均分布要長于中國作者。(3)在整體結構上,CARS模式未能有效適用于兩庫所出現(xiàn)的體裁特征;兩庫作者傾向于頻繁使用某些語步而忽視了另外一些語步;趦蓭煲钥傮w結構特點以及新出現(xiàn)語步的特征,本文對CARS模式作了進一步的修正,以期能夠用來分析應用語言學碩士論文。本文的研究有助于豐富學術語篇的對比研究,同時也對應用語言學專業(yè)學位論文的寫作具有一定的借鑒意義。
[Abstract]:As a new discourse analysis theory, genre analysis theory has been paid much attention by academic circles. In the field of applied linguistics, the focus of this research approach is the analysis of academic texts. Among the various categories of academic discourse, the introduction, as the beginning of the article, plays a great role in opening the whole text and leading the readers. It is extremely important and difficult in academic writing. However, the cross-linguistic contrastive research in this field is relatively insufficient, especially for the introduction of long and complicated master's thesis. The research method of this paper is an empirical study based on genre analysis theory. The research corpus is derived from CNKI and ProQuest's Master's thesis in Applied Linguistics, with a total of 90 articles (45 Canadian and 45 Chinese). Taking the CARS model as the main theoretical framework, the macro structure of the introduction is quantitatively analyzed. At the same time, it is found that there are some differences in writing between writers from different cultural backgrounds: (1) compared with Chinese writers, Canadian authors tend to use information titles. (2) the authors of both categories use Move 1 and Move 3 more than Move 2; while M1-M2-M3 is still the main distributed sequence of the two libraries, there are variations of other sequences. For example, M3-M2-M1 and M1-M3-M2; the average distribution of speech steps of Canadian authors is longer than that of Chinese authors. (3) the cars model can not be effectively applied to the genres of the two libraries in terms of overall structure; The authors tend to use some steps frequently and ignore others. Based on the characteristics of the general structure of the two libraries and the features of the emerging steps, this paper further modifies the CARS model so that it can be used to analyze the Master's thesis in Applied Linguistics. The present study is helpful to enrich the contrastive study of academic discourse, and it is also useful for the writing of academic theses in applied linguistics.
