【摘要】：在長期的翻譯歷史活動中,人們往往只關(guān)注翻譯文本層次的研究,而對于翻譯的主體譯者卻很少關(guān)注,譯者經(jīng)常處于邊緣地位。翻譯研究中的“文化轉(zhuǎn)向”,由西方學者于二十世紀七十年代提出,使翻譯研究的重點由文本研究轉(zhuǎn)向了文化研究。而文化研究必然離不開譯者。譯者的主體性受到了越來越多的關(guān)注。譯者主體性的研究有多種視角。本文選取喬治·斯坦納的闡釋翻譯四步驟為理論框架,對比分析了Greg Smith的Why I Left Goldman Sachs(我為什么離開高盛)的兩個中譯本,來探索譯者主體性在喬治·斯坦納具體闡釋翻譯四步驟(“信任”、“入侵”、“吸收”、“補償”)中對于譯本的影響,以及譯者的主體性在四步驟中如何影響譯本的。以往對于譯者主體性的研究只存在于經(jīng)典文學領(lǐng)域的譯本對比。而對于偏金融類的暢銷書,卻很少涉及。Why I Left Goldman Sachs是高盛員工Greg Smith所寫的他在高盛的所見所聞,以及為何離開高盛。Greg Smith以簡單的敘事手法描述了他從對高盛的崇拜,到夢想實現(xiàn),最終傷心離開高盛的故事。本文在喬治·斯坦納翻譯四步驟的理論視角下,通過具體實例對比分析了徐彬及洪慧芳兩位譯者的中文譯本,探討了譯者主體性在兩個譯本中的體現(xiàn)。研究發(fā)現(xiàn),譯者的學術(shù)背景、個人偏好、翻譯目的、翻譯策略、受眾的不同,導致了兩位譯者在一些細節(jié)的處理上采取的不同的方式,形成了自己的特色。
