【摘要】：在長(zhǎng)期的翻譯歷史活動(dòng)中,人們往往只關(guān)注翻譯文本層次的研究,而對(duì)于翻譯的主體譯者卻很少關(guān)注,譯者經(jīng)常處于邊緣地位。翻譯研究中的“文化轉(zhuǎn)向”,由西方學(xué)者于二十世紀(jì)七十年代提出,使翻譯研究的重點(diǎn)由文本研究轉(zhuǎn)向了文化研究。而文化研究必然離不開譯者。譯者的主體性受到了越來越多的關(guān)注。譯者主體性的研究有多種視角。本文選取喬治·斯坦納的闡釋翻譯四步驟為理論框架,對(duì)比分析了Greg Smith的Why I Left Goldman Sachs(我為什么離開高盛)的兩個(gè)中譯本,來探索譯者主體性在喬治·斯坦納具體闡釋翻譯四步驟(“信任”、“入侵”、“吸收”、“補(bǔ)償”)中對(duì)于譯本的影響,以及譯者的主體性在四步驟中如何影響譯本的。以往對(duì)于譯者主體性的研究只存在于經(jīng)典文學(xué)領(lǐng)域的譯本對(duì)比。而對(duì)于偏金融類的暢銷書,卻很少涉及。Why I Left Goldman Sachs是高盛員工Greg Smith所寫的他在高盛的所見所聞,以及為何離開高盛。Greg Smith以簡(jiǎn)單的敘事手法描述了他從對(duì)高盛的崇拜,到夢(mèng)想實(shí)現(xiàn),最終傷心離開高盛的故事。本文在喬治·斯坦納翻譯四步驟的理論視角下,通過具體實(shí)例對(duì)比分析了徐彬及洪慧芳兩位譯者的中文譯本,探討了譯者主體性在兩個(gè)譯本中的體現(xiàn)。研究發(fā)現(xiàn),譯者的學(xué)術(shù)背景、個(gè)人偏好、翻譯目的、翻譯策略、受眾的不同,導(dǎo)致了兩位譯者在一些細(xì)節(jié)的處理上采取的不同的方式,形成了自己的特色。
