我國工科領(lǐng)域新手作者英文學(xué)術(shù)論文討論部分元話語研究

在當(dāng)今社會(huì),學(xué)術(shù)語篇寫作已經(jīng)被普遍認(rèn)為是一種學(xué)者們?yōu)檎宫F(xiàn)自身研究成果而必須參與的社會(huì)實(shí)踐活動(dòng)之一。而作為“幫助讀者組織、解釋和評(píng)價(jià)文章中所提供信息的重要語言線索”(Crismore et al.,1993),元話語在學(xué)術(shù)語篇中的地位不容忽視。近年來,關(guān)于元話語的研究與日俱增。通過比較元話語在不同作者筆下的使用情況,研究者們熱衷于研究元話語在跨文化、跨學(xué)科、跨性別等方面的不同運(yùn)用。然而,大多數(shù)學(xué)者僅聚焦于專家文本中的元話語,對(duì)于新手作者筆下的元話語特征以及新手作者在撰寫學(xué)術(shù)語篇時(shí)所面臨的挑戰(zhàn)相關(guān)的研究仍寥寥無幾。本文旨在通過研究航天、機(jī)械、材料等領(lǐng)域的中國工科領(lǐng)域新手作者英文學(xué)術(shù)語篇中討論部分的元話語特征,進(jìn)而探討對(duì)其元話語選擇的潛在影響因素。研究建立了一個(gè)小型語料庫,收集了由哈爾濱工業(yè)大學(xué)航天專業(yè)為主的工科博士生未發(fā)表的學(xué)術(shù)語篇與其所對(duì)應(yīng)的英語母語專家作者已發(fā)表的學(xué)術(shù)語篇。以Hyland(2004)提出的人際元話語模型為分類依據(jù),探究了兩組作者筆下學(xué)術(shù)語篇中討論部分使用的元話語類型和頻率特征。同時(shí),本研究還利用訪談,對(duì)新手作者們對(duì)元話語的功能以及學(xué)術(shù)語篇的價(jià)值等方面的理解進(jìn)行了探尋,進(jìn)...
