評價理論視域下基于語料庫的“基因編輯嬰兒”新聞話語分析

新聞是一種常用的記錄與傳播信息的文本。我們每時每刻都在感知與接受來自外界的信息。因此,信息篩選和立場判斷顯得尤為重要。在新聞文本中,除了對事件時間、地點(diǎn)、主要內(nèi)容的客觀描述外,評價性詞語,尤其是評價性形容詞,通?梢韵蜃x者傳達(dá)新聞編輯的情感傾向和主觀判斷。現(xiàn)如今,語言學(xué)家已經(jīng)應(yīng)用評價理論開展對不同文體語篇的態(tài)度和情感的分析。評價理論是對系統(tǒng)功能語法中人際功能的補(bǔ)充與完善,結(jié)合評價理論的文本研究為各類語篇的話語分析拓展了研究視角與研究方向。在新聞?wù)Z篇的客觀性判斷方面,語言學(xué)多采用量化和質(zhì)性分析相結(jié)合的研究方法。中國“基因編輯嬰兒”事件的出現(xiàn)引起了科學(xué)家和人類學(xué)家的廣泛關(guān)注,并引發(fā)了在生物科學(xué)、倫理道德等方面的激烈討論。但在語言學(xué)層面對“基因編輯嬰兒”等科學(xué)技術(shù)類新聞的評價性分析明顯不足。作者發(fā)現(xiàn),中美新聞的相關(guān)報道在詞語選擇、情感傾向性方面存在明顯差異,這很容易對讀者產(chǎn)生疑惑。因此,讀者更應(yīng)該對新聞保持客觀理性的判斷。為開展深入研究,作者從中國主流新聞媒體,People’s Daily、Global Times、China Daily和美國主流新聞媒體,CNN、New York Time...
