本文為一份翻譯實踐報告,原文節(jié)選自《中國和印度的奢侈品品牌》(Luxury Brands in China and India)第一章——新現(xiàn)實(A New Reality)與第二章——奢侈品困境(Luxury Dilemmas)。原著作者是雷恩商學(xué)院的教授道格拉斯·布賴森和勃艮第商學(xué)院市場營銷學(xué)的副教授格林·阿特瓦爾。作者從多方面介紹中國和印度的奢侈品品牌的發(fā)展現(xiàn)狀,著重討論中國和印度奢侈品品牌所面臨的困境及所蘊含的潛在市場,并提出相應(yīng)解決方案和合理預(yù)測。本報告共分為五章:第一章簡要說明項目背景、意義以及報告結(jié)構(gòu)。第二章對原文信息及語言特征進(jìn)行探討。第三章闡述本次所用翻譯指導(dǎo)理論和譯前準(zhǔn)備工作,根據(jù)奈達(dá)的功能對等理論,理想的翻譯就必須找到最接近的自然對等;在翻譯過程中,譯者采用功能對等理論作為翻譯指導(dǎo)理論,為檢驗翻譯策略的應(yīng)用提供了理論框架。第四章探討翻譯過程中譯者遇到的困難和相應(yīng)的處理方法。第五章總結(jié)在翻譯過程中的感悟及收獲,并提出尚待提高之處。
