《跨文化能力百科全書》(第20-44頁)翻譯實(shí)踐報(bào)告

跨文化交際是發(fā)生在不同文化背景人們之間的溝通,密切的跨文化交流是當(dāng)今世界的一個(gè)重要特征,因此,跨文化能力在貿(mào)易、教育、外交、科技等領(lǐng)域的地位日益凸顯。跨文化教育不應(yīng)限于客觀的、可見的文化產(chǎn)品上,而應(yīng)關(guān)注培養(yǎng)認(rèn)知言語行為、非言語行為、信念與價(jià)值觀的跨文化能力,從而實(shí)現(xiàn)各文化背景下的有效互動(dòng)。因此,筆者在導(dǎo)師的指導(dǎo)下確定《跨文化能力百科全書》一書為翻譯任務(wù)。該書主編是跨文化研究學(xué)者Janet M.Bennett,美國跨文化交流學(xué)院聯(lián)合創(chuàng)始人及現(xiàn)任院長。該書出版于2015年,主要借助跨文化理論及案例探討了從認(rèn)識(shí)文化差異,適應(yīng)文化差異,到文化融合的各個(gè)階段,旨在培養(yǎng)跨文化能力。筆者承擔(dān)的翻譯任務(wù)包括《跨文化能力百科全書》第20頁至第44頁,主要探究了同化、假設(shè)與信念、歸因理論、信念、價(jià)值觀、規(guī)范、習(xí)俗、多樣性和包容性的基準(zhǔn)、雙種族身份、身勢學(xué)、案例分析方法等十余專業(yè)術(shù)語及跨文化理論。按照紐馬克的文本類型理論,該書可劃歸為信息類文本,又兼含表達(dá)類文本的特點(diǎn)。鑒于此,筆者以交際翻譯為主,語義翻譯為輔。本報(bào)告由五個(gè)部分組成。第一部分介紹翻譯項(xiàng)目;第二部分是翻譯過程;第三部分闡述理論框架;第四部分是基...
