如今,猶太文化、價值觀和思想已滲透到了現(xiàn)代生活的方方面面。本翻譯項目報告原文是赫爾歇·H·弗里德曼（Hershey H.Friedman）教授所著的兩篇論文:“猶太價值觀對市場營銷和商業(yè)實踐的影響”（The Impact of Jewish Values on Marketing and Business Practice）及“從塔木德角度看理想的職業(yè)”（Ideal Occupation:The Talmudic Perspective）。這兩篇論文里,弗里德曼分別闡述了《塔木德》以及《托拉》對猶太財富觀和價值觀的影響,從《塔木德》的角度論述了何為理想的職業(yè)。作為猶太人生活的重要書籍,《塔木德》不僅規(guī)范了傳統(tǒng)猶太人的日常生活,還賦予了他們無窮的智慧。原文語言精練簡潔,邏輯性較強。因此,譯文的精確傳達尤為重要�？紤]到英漢語言表達習慣不同以及不同的文化,譯者依托于尤金·奈達的功能對等理論對原文進行分析,力求在兩種語言間達到功能對等的效果。譯者從詞匯對等、語義對等及與語篇對等層面上,探索了功能對等理論對原文翻譯的指導,希望借此讓譯文讀者對《塔木德》和猶太文化中的商業(yè)價值觀有更深的了解。
